Who knows if what the pentagon says is true or not, but with the information we have on the size of the universe and how many habitable planets WE have found just by ourselves, you really can’t deny that there is much more life out there somewhere. The problem is time/distance. The chances we as a spieces are around at the same time as another AND one of us being capable of reaching another is SLIM TO NONE. @@aboveforever The only real viable way imho, logically speaking based on our current understanding, is that we or some other speices develops a ton of sentient AI's that are immortal or close too and then those AI reach out in search for inteligent life in the cosmos. At least that way human lifespan is no longer the issue. But distance still is. And then at that point why even bother creating this AI if your not going to be around to see if it found anything? But I think a civ would/will do this just to preserve thier legacy and memory for as long as possible in the hopes of getting to share thier story with another world. Just like we do with time capsules. Thinking about it really bums me out, I want to believe I really do!

The Bible does say that life in the heavens made life in the heavens and on the earth. UFO's are in the Bible cover to cover. Jesus Christ was an Extra Terrestrial Biological Entity, in other words, came in the flesh. My above comment I point out some of identified aerial phenomenon in the Scriptures. isn't it obvious? Jesus is soon to return & rapture the church. Bible tells us the anti christ will come up with a lie & many will believe it. Many believe that lie to be that Christians are aboard the mother ship being re-educated to no longer believe the bible or in God. But couldn't be further from the truth we will be in HEAVEN during those 7 years of tribulation then we shall return with Jesus as He sets up His kingdom on earth for 1000 years. The closet star system to us is Alpha Centauri at about 5 light years or 29,750,000,000,000 miles. In other words if it were possible to travel at the speed of light, it would take 10 years to make a round trip. The fastest rocket humans have made travels at 364,000mph. If you could travel at 500,000mph, it would take 5,875,000,000 years to to make a one way trip there to Alpha Centauri or 11,750,000,000 years to make a round trip. Also, the earth is only 5,000,000,000 years old and the universe is about 20,000,000,000 years old. So, if there were aliens at Alpha Centaure (which there are not) they would have to start the trip before the Earth was formed. The closest star system that has a possible habitable planet is Teegarden's star at 12.5 light years away. At the speed of light it would take 25 years to get there and back. At 500,000 miles per hour it would take five times what it would take to go to Alpha Centauri and back or about 111,750,000,000 years to make the round trip. That is a little before the universe came about. Now, if there are habitable worlds with alien life that have reached the level of space travel, they would be located closer to the center of the galaxy since the star systems are older the closer you get to the center. So, lets say you have a star system with life that could achieve space travel. Lets say for example (it doesn't really matter about the speed) they could travel at 1,000,000 mile an hour and they were located only 10,000 light years away. That would make it 58,750,000,000,000,000 miles away. It would take them 5,875,000,000,000 years to get to Earth from their planet. It would take another 5,875,000,000,000 years to get back. Altogether 117,500,000,000,000 years for the round trip. Now as mentioned above, the Earth is only 5,000,000,000 years old, and the universe is thought to be around 20,000,000,000 years old. That means these aliens would have had to start coming here 117,480,000,000,000 years before the universe existed. Even Houdini couldn't do that. Now, if aliens lived 100,000 light years away they would have had to start on their trip a looooooooooooong time ago. This all means that the probability that there are aliens visiting us is slim. But, if people want to believe that, then be my guest.
