This is one of a small sub category of food stories which I find fun an interesting take on this style of story

Good premise and well considered story however you failed to say that all Galactic aliens have no sense of smell because that is the first and most distinctive thing about great food. The fact that Captain Zara was unable to find the human food stall until she saw it is unbelievable unless she cannot smell the foods being produced. This leads me to believe that she is still NOT getting the best of human foods! However criticism aside, I loved the story, thank you.

I was 20 when thanks to the Army I learned that exotic gourmet food in my country was what Mama made for supper half way around the world, since then I've run into 1 or 2 things I couldn't handle but mostly I have enjopyed learning about other cultures by learning about what they eat, Loved this story

Sometimes it's not just about the food, it's about their cooking methods.

I like this one, it is a bit different from other HFY stories, especially at the end.

Enjoyed the story but found one minor annoyance. Cacophony refers to sound, not scent. A cacophony of scents is nonsensical.
