Was that Amanda? If yes, this is Alien Isolation in the Nostromo instead of Sevastopol. In other words, big expectations but a very small ship. Yeah, this is FOX, but they saved money. First of all, they lost the opportunity to make a movie about the game. This could have been Ripley’s daughter and an abandoned station with crazy robots. It would have been superb. To pinpoint the exact moment when the last humans are abandoning the station... There are hundreds of movies about ships, but few about stations. That's why the game was disruptive. There are many things to interact with on a station: broken devices, cables, rebels, cars, runaway trains... But no. What they will probably do is approach and embark on the Nostromo. Then we will see déjà vu from the deaths. It's cool for the fans, but it brings nothing new. I mean, they had the game. They could have followed the game. It’s super simple. They could have used lots of CGI, but that explains why they didn’t. It’s expensive. There's another detail. If they are approaching the Nostromo, the alien population inside the ship has no hosts. So it couldn’t have prospered without cannibalism and mutation. That is not in the trailer. So, what happened? This is the only thing that has caught my attention so far. I love Evil Dead. Even though the director is a genius, it looks like he wanted to keep it simple, avoid risks. I didn’t mention Ripley. If she does not appear in a single photo because Sigourney didn’t allow for license privileges, then we have another concern here. Just to sum up, no malfunctioning androids, no levers, no open-close doors, no broken elevators, no abandoned children, no mother alien, no alien planet, no mining colonization, no army, no super lesbian, no vehicles, no helicopters, no firearms, no nests, no crawling through vents, no central power station to explode... Man, I could be here for hours reminding these people that you can’t mess with franchise fans. These people are trying to make money with little effort. The first Alien was state-of-the-art, but this? Maybe it works as a déjà vu for the old fans and introduces the story from the beginning to new fans. If it goes that way, showing details from the Nostromo, that will be nostalgic. But something tells me 70% of the movie will be about the crawlers. After Prometheus, this just looks like everything else: big marketing, small results. It's not a super production and it used a few glimpses of Alien Isolation. That’s all

The upcoming film will be the seventh in the franchise. It was directed by Fede Alvarez, primarily known for “The Evil Dead: The Black Book” and the thriller “Don’t Breathe.” Franchise creator Ridley Scott served as one of the producers.

Not to be "that guy", but what now, every Alien or main movie will be only with women and black people as leading stars? I do not get why is this forced so called "race diversion, Please be Good! A little concerned at how CGI heavy this looks, the original films had amazing practical effects and set work that made it feel very real. Parts of this trailer looked like a video game to me... Reserving judgement for the finished product, Amazing Director on Alien. Day one IMAX no matter the cost
