I think so. I mean its hard to do something new new. People wanna see the Alien. So i feel its like he said it will be like a new "remix" in a way. Evil Dead was very good even tho they completely missed the original humor. Still i have high hopes for this one.

Just been quite disappointed with the recent films in the franchise, Covenant in particular. Anyway, will go in to watch Romulus with an open mind and see what Fede will bring to the audience. I’m hopeful because I personally think his Evil Dead remake was great. Didn’t even think there will be another Alien film made after Covenant. So, can’t wait for Romulus to hit the theaters. It’s been 7 years since Covenant already and that’s a pretty long time.

The set design from the trailer and teaser look incredible! The acting looks great! The practical effects look insane! The premise looks interesting! The deaths appear to be unique for an older franchise where you think how many ways can you kill someone! I love the retro futuristic atmosphere which was abandoned in the Prometheus/Covenant. The most important thing though is you have a director that respects and understands the Alien universe. I haven't looked forward to a movie this much in forever. I'm praying the asteroid looking thing is actually The Big Chap in a cocooned state after being blown out by Ripley with the grappling gun since he clearly didn't die on screen. The only other one I guess was John Wick 4.
