The BEST Aliens comparison ever! This is GREAT!!! I thought the McFarlane one was a masterpiece all these years...but NECA outdid it!

I found the McFarlane one at a Gamestop around 2005/2006 for $10. There was a stack of them, in retrospect, I should have grabbed more

I like both. For its time the MF one was epic, but if I had to choose, I would stick with the NECA one. She looks great on my shelf.

Great review! Love the 92' queen cameo! She's the only queen I got. Time to upgrade to the NECA version, I'd say.

The McFarland figure is one of my favourite figures in my collection but I would love to get my hands on the neca, the neca is defiantly better

Great review, my Macfarlane queen the arm broke off, any idea how or what i can do to glue it back together?? i tried a few glue but none seem to work .

And I thought Galactus would be the first big character on this... I really do like the Aliens series, the mix of horror and sci fi makes it an instant classic. ;) NECA is truly the best and my favorite, wish it had an organic look though.

Yeah, a few months ago. His partner made one last video talking about the cause of his death and sort of honoring his memory. It´s the most recent one. :(

Was hoping you could help me. I'm wanting to buy an alien queen that fits in a Detolf Ikea case. Each shelf is 14 1/2" wide by 15" tall by 13" deep. Do you think the Neca queen would fit inside or would you recommend Mcfarlane's?

Alot of people forget about the revoltech alien queen it has good articulation and looks awseome on display especially in its good looking box. I would love to see glenn webb are a youtuber similar to him do a review of it.

hmm difficult .. i loooove the mcfarlane queen in overal as it goes for the complete body, but i do looove the neca head- crown,claws and back spikes, but i hate the body look of it. if i would buying one i would go for the mcfarlane purely because it looks way better imo eventho the head is smaller and rounder then the neca

Hey Glenn I have a 2005 Mcfarlan Alien Queen with a display peace that looks like it clips into others! The queens mouth is also fixed open and I've seen pictures of it online but they all appear to have a strange green paint job on the top were as mine does not! Glenn Webb Great comparison! While I'm a huge supporter of most things NECA, I may end up sticking with my original McFarlane Queen that I got at "Toys R Us" back in the day for a measley $20. Which definitely goes to your point of rising toy costs.

I like the finish on the NECA version. But overall I like the sculpt on the McFarlane more. Tough Choice.

Just on looks alone the NECA wins easily, especially in the face, McFarlanes sculpt for the head doesn’t actually look like the Xenomorph Queen at all, just a generic Xenomorph, also it being a fixed sculpt just blows.

I'm still kicking myself for selling my mcfarlane queen a couple years ago; but money was tight and family comes first. I will say I got quite a bit more than what I paid for it lol

The McFarlane Alien Queen has the extended jaw already attached and more real-looking and moveable. The body shape of the McFarlane is more accurate. The only thing the NECA has is better teeth. I also have the 12-inch Alien Soldier with the lunging, inner-jaw play action. Both still in the box for the past 20 years....and a few smaller Battle Aliens, still packaged.

Lori Urban i think you are confused. NECAs Queen os a direct mold copy of the Aliens Queen. MacFarlanes isn't even close to accurate.

The NECA one is quite more complete and poseable, but I still prefer McFarlane's more organic design and I find it more movie-accurate than the NECA, and I love the diorama with it

Sky79 he was some one who reviewed figures and toys. I reached out to him and he gave me some advice when I started my channel. if you like toys check it out. but just a few months after we started talking he passed away in his sleep, gone just like that. 13 hours after I last tweeted him.

I love Tod McFarlane toys but the NECA version of the queen alien was much better then the McFarlane version ! Because it had way more detail and you could see the metallic colors of the alien !

Did he put the Jaws in upside down?

There's one major design flaw in the figure, if not the character itself. If you look at her head in profile, there clearly isn't anywhere inside her mouth for the inner mouth to retract to. It would have to go right out the back of her lower jaw.

NECA Queen definitely wins. Even though it's the exact same figure, I prefer the Alien Resurrection Queen from NECA way more. I love the color. I'm not taking anything away from the Aliens Queen at all, but I like the way the color of the resurrection figure looks. Plus I got to keep the spirit of the queen alive because of that bullshit move they did to her in Resurrection. All I needed is the resurrection Queen from NECA and I'm good with Queen aliens lol. Great review.

I think NECA's would be better if it wasn't so metalic / glossy

I hear the McFarlane one is prone to breakage. I've had all the figures that use swivel/hinge joints (Robocop, CPL Hicks, etc.) eventually break at said joints due to them being cast in clear plastic (why DCC is still doing that to similar effect with the BTAS figures I'll never know). I'm really happy with my NECA one, Now if Aliens Ripley and the Power Loader can stay on track, 2015 will be a good year for Aliens fans. Sad that 1979 Ripley has been pushed back but NECA claims the release date next month is firm.

A year after a video gets posted is the best time to comment on it; I'm an idiot. Anyway, Neca attempts to make their figures as screen accurate as possible; meaning all the colours chosen for their figures comes from the movies. Knowing this McFarlanes essentially wouldn't have been seen while filming, it would have been to dark. Neca does takes liberties all the time but they try and stay with the movie likeness as much as possible. The Red Queen is even better
