Alien Growth on This Cherry Tree
This video will discuss what this alien growth on this cherry tree is and how to protect praying mantis ootheca from dormant oil sprays and copper sprays that are applied in the late winter/early spring. By pruning off the ootheca and placing it some where safe you can prevent damage to the eggs and the young inscects when they emerge in the spring. You will want the benefits from praying mantises in the summer.

@@fruitpruningchannel, I enjoy watching your videos. I am a ISA Certified Arborist in New York who has spent the majority of his career in Plant Health Care. I like watching the pruning techniques as I am not an expert when it comes to the pruning end of the business. I knew enough to pass the exam 28 years ago, but that's about it.
