Great artists like Alicia and John can only be this instinctive and spontaneous when they have a band this awesome and solid behind them.

I love Alicia’s excitement throughout this performance. She was just beaming! It’s like she was waiting her whole life to sing with John, and this was her reaction to finally be doing it. I love it! They’re both amazing!

I love how they FEEL the music. so real. so beautiful :,)

Love the giggles from Alicia while John’s singing, it’s like they’re in awe of each other’s talent! Not enough artists like this about these days. Being able to work pro tools doesn’t make you a musician. We need to feel it, IMO no one should allowed to sign a record deal until they’ve watched this!

It's just Quest Love from the Roots. He's a great drummer. I think he really enhances the video....or that could just be my obsession with the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon.

There was an overwhelming amount of talent up there on that stage that we weren't ready for. one of my favorite things on the internet. (I swear John Mayer makes playing guitar look like liquid gold) and holy shit Alicia, what a musical Gem !

Alicia Keys is so beautiful. Her smile is so genuine and honest, it's heartbreaking. John Mayer is really adding to this spectacular performance. They felt the music in this very moment. What it is all about. Love.

I wish everyone could know what it feels like to play instruments...the feeling is unexplainable..... Playing live is even better...not because you're showing off but to have others experience the music you make.... We make memories to music. If you've been alive long enough to understand music you can hear a song from 30 years ago and remember exactly where and what you were doing and who was there when that song played. Nothing else can do that. All these people who were here will remember this every time they hear this song. Learn to play an instrument....you won't regret it.

I’m listening to this again tonight. Just watched Biden’s tribute to the 400,000 lost covid souls. I am so grieved for the survivors. Never having the chance to say goodbye is beyond me. My heart breaks for them. 😢😢😢 My only advice is grief is a journey unfortunately you have to travel alone You’ll find your way. You just have to go with it. Take the highs and the lows. I'm pretty sure they could have done more, but they were just enjoying music itself, a great amount of artists have lost it. I think it's not only for money, but love for what you do is what takes u deep. John Mayer and Alicia got that.

Legend has it that the audience never made it home due to the fact that their hearts gave out by the end of this performance.

Seeing all those happy faces together...really makes me miss times before covid. Hopefully we can work together and get rid of it this year! Happy New Years hope whoever reads this has a happy and healthy year!
