Food will definitely be important. It is estimated within 6 weeks all forest dwelling animals deer foxes rabbits etc will have disappeared ? So I think you've done really well with the food procurement kit. Like I said before, I cannot possibly carry anymore kit, and obviously now seeing your bag, think Im light in a few small areas !!!!! Thanks anyway for sharing your contents. It is really helpful.

Really interesting that you have a bow for food procurement. I shoot air rifles and also have machining facilities. I have made a take down rifle. separate barrel, body/scope and stock, in a bag just over 12" long and around 1.5kg. I know, FOR SURE, that I can procure rabbits and squirrels out to 30m, consistently. Hunting with a bow is a much harder proposition. The air rifle is sub 12ft/lb (so no fac needed). But I would never put it in my bag until I know that it is an INCH situation. Wouldn't want to be charged with armed trespass.

You have a solid good longterm kit! The only thing is it will get heavy in the field! I would lighten it up a bit that's my only suggestion! I carry 1 lb of beef jerkey, 1lb of fruit and nut trail mix, 12 packs of soup mix, 24 bullion cubes, 24 servings of Nescafe instant coffee, 24 packs of sugar, 12 big payday candy bars, 50 pieces of hard candy and for me that is 2 weeks of food. I have a fishing hooks kit, 2 big rat traps and 30ft of steel snare wire. I have two full 32oz steel water bottles with cups and the sawyer water filter. I utilize the Dave Canaberrys 15 C's of survival In the military line system. 1 small pocket bear gryills pouch kit including the small improved version of the 15C's of survival in my left cargo pocket and a US Army casualty mylar blanket and rain poncho in my left cargo pocket. One shoulder or waist molle pouch scout bag includes 15C's of survival. And my rucksack with the 15C's of survival. Also an IFAC kit. I got my USMC molle rucksack bag down to 36 pounds total including 250rnds of 22mag and 50rnds of 357mag. I have my CCW 357 and in my bag a Molle attachments pouch on the right side is my 22mag 12in revolver rifle. In my pocket a swiss army woodsman folder, zippo lighter, chapstick, 25ft of paracord, back left pocket 24"x24" bandana, tops Tracker knife on my hip. Also a slingshot and three breakdown arrows! Good luck and God speed to you in all your prepared works! Those old Alice packs are awesome I used them in training for years and still have a couple!

very well rounded set up, the one item lacking in my opinion, (unless you mentioned it elsewhere and dont consider it part of the kit) is a thermal clothing layer of some kind (softie, fleece, buffalo smock, wool pullover, etc) for when your static but not sleeping, ... the current issue PCS fleece shirts are pretty good, I only mention it as your bag includes spare trousers and spare boots. Oh yes ... one other thing i'd need to add to this set up ... some medicinal Rum :-)

Nice kit definitely one of the better set ups I’ve seen 👍 the trapping kit is often overlooked food procurement is vital not sure the exact contents but yo-yo reels, wild edible guide even a slingshot good for small game. I also use a lot of surplus you need the kit to be solid. Subbed.

I just watched your last three videos showcasing this pack and it’s contents. Excellent job, you’ve managed to take the tried and proven ALICE pack and modified it in all the right ways to make an outstanding Bug Out Bag! I have several ALICE packs, both medium and large. I have one of my large packs set up as a Bug-out bag with contents similar to your kit. I may have to follow your lead and make some modifications. I have subscribed, currently watching your other videos and eagerly awaiting future ones! 🇺🇸🇬🇧

Great kit Mitch. It’s very well thought out and comprehensive. I consider all of my family’s kits as INCH bags. I’ve never really understood building a 24 hour bag or a 72 hour bag. What if things turn out to be worse than you expected? 72 hours may not be enough. I’ve set up my kits for a worse case scenario and if I don’t need all of the kit...So be it. What did you call the very large pouches that you sewed onto the outside of your pack? I’ve been trying to find pouches like that with no luck. Again...Great Kit and videos. Thanks for sharing.

Hows the size of that shelter compare to the basha in size? Gillnet is a proper right addition and the deadfall traps which take up no space. I love it, great build, especially adding in the paracord and tabs to the water bottle. What does the bag weight?

@@vikingmitch4049 "The bag weighs around the 70/80 lbs mark" I like the idea for river crossings, could be used for numerous things too. I just don't think I'd ever make it to the river with 80lbs. In USA, hunting supply stores carry "deer carts" which would be ideal for carrying extra weight. They're basically light weight two wheel carts. Food for thought.

Only carry the things u need not the things u want. A lot of items u will find along the way and will need room to fit them. How much does the pack weigh? Not sure if u mentioned it before.
