His voice would blow that place away
If there wasn't a video I wouldn't have known they were playing with an orchestra and a choir behind them.
i wish i had more hands to give this more thumbs up
For ten long years this guy's been missed
Truly fucking amazing... the whole thing from beginning to end is beyond words.
Duvall's voice remembers me to Ian Asbury (The Cult)
I know it's not Layne but it' kicks serious ass the band lives on I love AIC been a fan since 92

Doesn’t have to be Layne … Will is awesome too
angel voices to be heard...but one angel is missing and he liked getting high..
Long live this phenomenal group!
The great presentation for Alice in Chains and The NorthWest Orchestra & Girls Choir at Matt Messina's, beautiful songs, harmony and the vocals Willian Duvall and Jerry Cantrell monsters.
I give Will a lot of credit for how he performed those old AIC singles. For much of the fanbase, that repertoire is so deeply entrenched in Layne's legacy that to think of anyone else reciting them must have seemed unsettling. I'm glad they brought him aboard so they could continue on.

Even though i have listened to Layne sing his songs thousands of times over the years i think william does a fine job. The first time i saw William was live in a show they held in moscow. I was not there but saw the clip here on KZread. This one kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4yOu9eedMiefLA.html. The first song i was like....what the fuck...who is that? But i knew Layne was dead. It took one song to get over the fact that it was not layne. After that first song i was really pleased to be honest. They are back to making music and doing their thing. Layne would be proud.
Holy shit when William Sings 20:52 Kasmir he almost sounds a little like Jeff Buckley
I’m very doubtful, but if stems from every mic is available, someone needs to properly mix this. Whale and wasp is barely recognizable and is one of my absolute favorite AIC songs. I’d love to hear this mixed properly.
I Stay Away--Jump Scare!! I've only heard kashmir with the orchestra, so had to come find the rest of the concert. Awesome!!
So beautiful
This is just excellent! So beautiful!!!
I kinda wish that this version of Kashmir was in the Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin.
Saw this show live back in 2007. Listening to it now in 2019, William did really well. But back then I was pretty bitter about replacing Layne. But time heals. Great to have AIC making music and no one can ever replace Layne and the bandmates didn't want to replace him.

Never underestimate the importance of a good sound stage manager. Audio on this is a perfect example. compare it to Metallica's S & M. That said, still enjoy listening to it.
Great performance, the Kashmir performance was awesome. Wish the orchestra and choir was more prominent. Band kinda drowned them out.
Truly amazing!! bravo to the band, symphony, and choir
Oh my, why am I only seeing this ? Can we show the new generation what real music looks like? Any future grandkids of mine, this is part of your curriculum...
The buildup to Sickman was epic. Will definitely kept AIC around, whether you like him or not.
I can't express how much I loved it in one comment. amazing elegant wild. their skill is just epic. they deserve all appreciation from the fans. I'd love to see more vidos like that for them. thanks a lot for sharing 👍
This is incredible!!! AIC, the symphony, and Jerry are unreal!!!
DuVall nailed Sickman !
I lived in Everett, Washington when this concert happened at Benaroya Hall in Seattle in 2007. I often visited Seattle. 2007 was the year Alice in Chains reunited of with a new lead singer and of course without Layne Staley.
this is so powerful. iv'e never seen this. thank you. rip layne staley
Absolutely
If this sounded anything like Metallica's S&M show in real life it was truly awesome... and Duvall covering Kashmir is frickin' bad ass! Like said here the recoreding or mix is terrible, but the show itself is quite amazing. Wish they'd do a full show at one time like S&M!

I was there...the room is super "live" so they had to shield the drums, put the amps backstage, and it was still super loud lol, but it sounded amazing....my only beef was Jerry's vocals were buried, and the same thing played out here on the recording...I doubt AIC's sound guy was the one at the board.....but yes, for those in attendance, it was ecstatic. I'll never forget it.
Kashmir .... Favorite Led Zeppelin song...🐔🐔🐔🐔

Chorei com essa versão de I Stay Away. Me julguem, lembrei do Layne Staley
Strange why the audio mix sounds much better during Kashmir, still vocal heavy. William vocal timbre is much closer to Robert Plant IMO, but he is fantastic singer no ?. Sad AIC didn’t perform more in the 90’s live to have heard them do fun stuff like this and hear more covers with Laynes vocals. They r extraordinary talents!
Súper mega brutal 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Imagine how sick it would've sounded if Layne was still alive and well. 😢
I'm sure it was awesome live, but in the video you can't even hear the orchestra. What a shame, this must have been so cool live...

It was fucking amazing. Benaroya hall is a one of a kind venue...and they gave all the proceeds to charity. Was hilarious to see all the high falutin symphony-goers clutch their pearls at the sight of the grungy AIC fans. Ann & Nancy Wilson performed as well.
I like how in some of their songs they make guitar sounds that sounds like dinosaurs roaring, I guess the devil really did put dinosaurs here 🤣
This was amazing...but I was kind of disappointed when the band came out. I thought it was just going to be the orchestra playing alone. Not that I'd ever *really* be disappointed if AIC popped out unexpectedly, lol. I just thought it would be cool to hear an orchestra solely performing AIC.

Drummer really became the man in the box
Acustic Guitar es very low like bass. Best Alice in chains
Beautiful concert except the jerks who insisted yelling etc during the performance. Main reason I don’t go to very many Live performances anymore; except to loud rock venues. I prefer performing myself and respect the other performers while they have the spotlight. Thank u for sharing this of Alice In Chains

I don't agree with all the DuVall hate, he's a respectable vocalist who has a place in the music industry, but I think he's in the wrong band. His voice just doesn't suit AiC's music and can't fill the hole that Layne left. Just look at how much better he pulled off Kashmir than any of the actual AiC songs in this gig.

Jerry picked him for a reason dude. Their voices do go well together....You're not gonna get Layne's voice from someone else. People are often too dumb to realize this. Just based on your comment alone, you are a Will hater.

Layne didn't choose to be a junkie asshole. Yes, they're good now but sorry...they were better with Layne.
The intro sounds like something at a high school talent show.
Why is the audience like a high school talent show? “Jerry? JERRY!?” Obnoxious
Fact remains that they're now the BEST Alice In Chains Cover Band w/o Layne. And YES I was around when Layne was alive.
Whoever mixed the sound needs to be fired
Too me, Layne was the Alice in the Chains of addiction. Jerry continuing with the name is sacrilege.
Should've hired a better orchestra lololol. I love the Whale and Wasp love. But the orchestra was so off. Or maybe AiC should've followed the composer? Idk..
This is disappointing. I saw the Seattle Symphony along with Steve Vai and members of the Zappa bands trying to play some of Frank's tunes. Same deal, plus the whole right side of the PA died right off the bat. Thanks for posting, though.
WTF
Oh unholy audio! This was a beautiful disaster. Duvall is a good vocalist, but the old-school me always longs for Staley. That said, I mildly enjoyed his take on Kashmir. Maybe because it's not an AIC song? And any cover of Kashmir w/a backing symphony can sound good. It's just that good of a song. Better audio and this might've been an enjoyable listen.
Lol,this is a wonderful mess.
Im glad that I wasnt there. Im so dissapointed. And stop spamming that Layne is dead and get over it, cos if any of you just simply listen to this and wouldnt know that its AIC you all would just skip this crap, just like I do.
