Pepsidoodle Helms your so lucky to be an inheritor of what I think made America great I’m biracial and born in Panama and became a US citizen thru my German Dad born in Iowa America is being ruined by a sinister corrupt entity that infiltrated politics the government the media and everything that was good I love America with all my heart and soul and I believe the ol days with tremendous talent like your great grandma is what God saw once Saving but not anymore I’m afraid!

Pepsidoodle Helms Alice Faye is one of my idols and I simply adore her. I'm in my thirties and I am the third generation of women in my family who are huge Alice Faye fans. In fact I'm going to be naming my daughter Alice after Alice Faye.

Oh, boy! What a coup it would have been for David Merrick to have signed Alice Faye to head up the New York cast during its original run. As we see here, she would have been a fantastic Dolly. What a great performance!

Alice was a superb movie and radio actress. I don't believe she had that "over the top" dynamic (think Ethel M or Carol C) that creates a spectacle in the theater. Her talents served her well, and it was great to see, and especially hear, her in this role.
