clickbait is the very unfortunate downside of youtube culture now days. Making something more clickable is understandable but when thumbnails are straight up lying that's when it's too far imo. Every single Fortnite creator is at an all time low right now and gaming in general is just super stale. on top of that, tiktok is dominating young audience attention spans which takes away from youtube video views. same with shorts and reels.

The persona shift is extremely accurate. I used to watch Ali A as a kid back in 2011 when he was covering the black ops series. He was always very calm and collected when he spoke and even when he was genuinely excited there was still the aire of composure and professionalism- like he's talking to adults and teenager. I hadn't watched him since 2014 but after hearing clips of his new video, the shift is jarring. He's speaking like his audience are 7-12. Now he's mimicking the intros of most weird KZreadrs like "heyeverybody Whaaaaaaats GOinG oN???"

I saw Ali a as a nice guy kinda childish but clickbaiting took the most of him

I don’t watch Ali, but I do watch his wife’s channel! She’s super wholesome, and I absolutely love her content. She also streams on twitch. Although I do actually like Ali as a person, because when I see him on her channel, he’s just so loving towards her and funny; they really seem to bring the best out of each other. I don’t really like watching any of his videos though, because it really just seems like he’s putting on a front there, as opposed to when he’s with Clare (his wife) She’s also so insanely genuine, and her fan base is honestly one of the best and most wholesome ones out there, which means that when he appears in her videos, we’re not expecting him to be this over-hyper clickbaity KZreadr, but the loving husband of our favorite content creator which I think makes it a lot easier for him to be more himself. Although unfortunately, he’s the one who has created a channel in which he can’t be genuine anymore, and that’s pretty sad :(

Around 7:00 -ish;I agree so much regarding the age groups and that there’s not necessarily a downfall, but people just grow up. Last time I watched Ali A was Black Ops 2 days when I was around 16-17…since, I didn’t even know he still made content to be honest. Great video as always!

@Bzake In numbers he's relevant, but those numbers are going down, and he's just another small channel on KZreadr. It's big numbers, but not as big as they used to be, so that's why he's considered irrelevant. He isn't in a general sense, but yeah.

Yeah you're totally right: back in the black ops 2 days I was 11-12 years old and I loved all of his videos and was a constant viewer, I kept watching in like 2014-2015 when he did videos about minecraft and newer cod games that I still played like advanced warfare and ghosts. After like black ops 3 I got really tired about all the jetpacks and stopped playing cod and in turn stopped watching ali-a. I am now 20 years old and I despise him for his clickbait and misleading content, he used to have my respect for being so active in the cod scene but all that respect is gone nowadays of course.

Myself, I stopped watching him shortly after AW because that's when I started to lose interest in CoD and started branching out into new game genres. I'd always peak in every now and again to see what's up but ever since he became the cringe lord we all know and hate, I never looked at his channel again. Only once did I peak at his channel to see if it was true that he was clickbaiting now. Whenever I get into a conversation about Ali A with people, I won't even bring up the fact that I used to be a fan of his back in the early 2010's because I'm THAT embarrassed about it. Now that's saying something on how far you've fallen, when even your own old fans won't even admit to being an old fan of yours. RIP Ali A. You may sadly still be alive and posting content but your channel is as good as dead.

As Mozart was working on the requiem he felt himself become increasingly ill, to the point that Mozart felt he was writing the death mass for himself which eventually happened he died before the requiem could be completed.

At least Fortnite has alway had developers cares about improving the experince for their plays. Call of Duty is probally the scummist more scamer fransise I've ever seen. They literally charge $140 NZD a year for a new title which is now just become reskins of the previous games whereas Fortnite is free.

I used to love watching Ali-A back when I was just becoming a teenager in 2012-2013 cause I wasn't allowed to play COD but I liked it so much! I would play vicariously through watching his videos on my little nook HD tablet and it would give me so much happiness in the times that were really rough for me as a kid. I really stopped watching Ali-A around 2017 when he switched to fortnite and I turned 18 and moved out of my parents house and really got to play the games I wanted when I wanted. Now I'm 22; married with a baby boy. I rarely ever play video games anymore and if I do it's old COD to relive the good times. I check in on Ali-As channel every now and then and seeing how he's getting married and now having a kid around the same time I did is really cool; but I still can't stand his thumbnails anymore!

Yup, can’t beat having genuine fun and jokes with a group of friends. He also switches up his games, he’s played so many games throughout the years, with some core games as well (gmod, GTA…). Basically his content is fresh, Ali A mostly plays fortnite, and he doesn’t even stand out in that community like he used to in CoD. Vanoss and Ali A couldn’t be more different content creators. Ali A just makes boring videos talking about things, Vanoss’ content has value and rewatchability

hmm, dans not really falling into irrelevancy. hes still standing strong. he’ll keep that idea on standby though.

The most basic way I can describe his downfall and why I stopped watching is: He stopped being himself, and he chased views/money. I understand views/money are important in the endgame...but there are good and bad ways to obtain that. He also felt more of himself back in the COD days. I'm mixed on saying he betrayed the COD player base (which I'd consider myself a part of), since if he found a new game that he enjoys more, and gets more views...why not? But I do also see where people are coming from when they feel betrayed. Again...I'm mixed on the matter. But also, on the topic of being himself...he seemed to show anger, rage, sadness, hype, and all sorts of emotions back then and seemed like a guy who was ACTUALLY happy to do what he's doing, but now...he feels like a family-friendly robot. Last but not least...he's still doing really bad clickbait TO THIS DAY. Very sad since his old videos are great, and hell...I still watch his old content/videos. But he's gone, and I can only hope that someday he comes back...but I'm not holding my breath

The only type of content on my KZread channel that gets a good amount of views is Minecraft videos, and I'm not interested in Minecraft videos anymore because I grew out of that game, so I have to force myself to make a Minecraft video every now and then so my channel doesn't frickin die.. bruh Susan needs to get her sh*t together

I used to watch his videos back during the MW2 era and stopped near the end of Black Ops 2. I still remember the first video when he did a face reveal. I enjoyed watching his videos, especially the zombie eastereggs during BO1 and BO2. It's sad to see a KZreadr that I once enjoyed watching is now willing to go so low for clicks.

@@Tvtardy Im talking about the MW2 to BO2 times. He puts out completely different content now obviously. What Im saying, is that he is completely different from what he used to be. He wasn't over the top, click baiting person that tried to get children to view his videos. He used to be a serious Call of Duty KZreadr. Im not saying that he should go back to COD, what I'm saying is that he as a person/KZreadr, is completely different from what he used to be. Back then, he used to put out quality content, now he is just trying to get children to click on his videos so that he gets money.

Last time i watched one of his videos was 2015 when he played advanced warfare and black ops 3. I honestly forgot about him until recently. But it looks like i haven't missed anything about his channel. Since i stopped watching youtubers that started playing fortnite in 2017/2018

I just can’t stop laughing at the fact that Epic Games really did release all of those clickbait title skins it’s just so amusing to me that if he made those videos now they would’ve never even been CLICKBAIT 😂😂😂

To describe it, me and my younger brother used to sit down and watch the new ali-A video and we would always wait for the next one...Now as ive grown up ive pretty much forgot about him and im sure many others did...

9:30 right on the money. I’m ashamed to say that even though I’d heard of him, I hadn’t watched any of his videos until 4 months ago. One night (despite the fact that I had homework), I spent the entire night watching his vids because seeing one had already gotten me hooked

I started to watching him when he played COD BO2 zombies. I saw almost all the walkthrough of COD campaign. Watching him playing COD Multiplayer and seeing him barely die in every match was amazing. I was really happy and enjoyed watching him play. When he moved to Fortnite i knew he just did it for trends and i don't blame him, but the problem was the clickbait and the thumbnails. Damn i miss these good old days

Man ali-a has a special place in my heart, watched him from childhood got to meet him in person was such a shame he went to clickbait but if it get him views who am I to hate. Just remembered about his videos with Frank the robot by god those were good days

I never heard or watched him. But I would be pissed off if you clickbait people. That’s for anyone really. But switching off to play something different is fine. I get it. I wasn’t a huge fan of Fortnite. But I liked the marvel stuff. That was cool. Or having a fun group or duo to watch.

I know this is a little older video but It’s crazy that he is in this position. I used to watch him during the classic cod days before moving on to other KZreadrs and all.

I never really liked ali-a, but it’s sad to see his downfall

I used to watch Ali-A when he would go out and play Pokémon GO. Cant believe he came out like this in recent times.

i remember watching his black ops 2 content way back in the day. he was a legend, it‘s a shame.

Fearless has amazing editing and he hasn’t posted in about a whole year now I still watch his videos to this day so hilarious

Man I loved this dude so much back in the day. I loved watching his Bo2 and Ghosts videos. The clickbait was by far some of the worst I’ve seen.

I miss BO2 Ali, i and many were sad when the og intro was dropped. He really got crushed when BO3 came out Bc he just dropped everything when More Ali-a came out. It’s sad Bc I’m that 20 year old now. I was 11 when I found him. The intro was the big reason I was excited for every video. I wish he would have grown up with us like many great people like his old friend and same type of content creator, Syndicate. He followed the trend not his fans. He didn’t need Fortnite to stay relevant or wealthy, he could have done more than just fortnite.

I just recently went back and watched a lot of his older COD vids. Used to love watching them back in the day to be honest. As soon as he transitioned to fortnite is when I stopped watching him completely. Absolutely no interest in these battle royal games, but COD has fallen off as well in terms of the newer titles so I cant really blame him as he is a full time youtuber. I just wish I could go back to 2008-2013 to relive the glory days.

I did enjoy Ali-A's old CoD videos back in the early days. He was fun to watch and pleasant. Although I stopped playing CoD around 2015 and I didn't think about him till I heard about his rise as a Fortnite channel and hated how stupid his manipulative his videos were. He deserves nothing.

Still remember back in school when a mate of mine watched his videos and would tell me about them, every now and then we'd watch one together for CoD related updates etc. Can't remember exactly when, but we both started making fun of him because of the clickbait and the way he would do his intros, and we stopped taking him seriously. Such a shame, he used to be a decent and fairly entertaining source of information then became a clickbaiting flog.

I remember back in the day when he and Vick used to play pixelmon and minecraft together, I remember watching those alot, and his deathrun video's were also good, its sad to see how one more if my favorite youtuber's as a kid has just become worse

I've also watched the videos about the fall of Stampy and the fall of PopularMMOs, all 3 people were youtubers that were part of my childhood, the difference was that I felt sad for Stampy and Pat but Ali-A did this to himself

Went to school with him and we were part of the same circle until about 18 years old, his deification to MW2 daily uploads was insane, he’d leave early from places so he could meet his upload schedule, we mocked him for it light heatedly but good to see that it paid off 😂 he’s set for life now.

Fun fact: AliA had a tv show on cbbc (a kids TV channel in the UK). Basically what happened in it was that kids would give their parents cars to the ‘team’ and they would be customised/repaired. Idk how it did but i enjoyed it while it was on. This was around when he blew up with fortnite and everyone still liked him. As far as I know, there was only one series of the tv show and I’ve never seen anyone talk about it. So yeah there you go.

Rewatching this and all i can think of when i hear the intro is "noot noot"

the only time I remember genuinely watching an Ali-A video was probably back in the days of Modded Mariokart Wii
