I made an 89 for my 1st semester in 9th grade then I some how pissed off my pregnant teacher and she failed me in the 2nd with a 68 so your comment is valid lmao

This is an EXCELLENT review for people who haven't visited algebra in a few years like myself. It's all coming back to me and I love that you use multiple examples and then EXPLAIN the examples and how you came to the final answer. Thank you so much!! Really better than some of the teachers I had in high school/college.

just don't fall into the PEMDAS 'trap': a lot of people think Multiplication ALWAYS is solved before Division they also think Addition is ALWAYS solved before Subtraction... NOPE Parenthesis Exponents Multiplication - Division (solve whichever comes first left to right) -> 36 ÷ 4 * 2 = 18; 36 * 4 ÷ 2 = 72 Addition - Subtraction (solve whichever comes first left to right) -> 36 + 4 - 2 = 38; 36 - 4 + 2 = 34

This is absolutely amazing. I have never properly learned algebra and always felt complete anxiety every time I have tried. It just never made any sense! It's been years since I've attempted to learn it again. I'm in a college algebra class now and was struggling so hard to pick this up! But this, this all makes perfect sense!!!!! Seriously, changing my life here lol

This presentation taught me more than I ever learnt about Algebra from school in 1980 to 1984 and much more than everything I have forgotten. I am however a little bit more focused now thanI was then but astonished I could follow the teaching explanations in the video. If only I had this luxury back in 1980 things would have been different for me. I'm glad I'm subscribed to this channel and look forward to being re-schooled in a happier way. Thanks for providing this education

I really liked the part 1 and I like this way because my teacher will explain Algebra 1 in the most complicated way possible and then say: “I explained it in the easiest way possible. How do you not know what I was saying?”

Learning algebra at home with a telecourse the instructor use to always go into detail, even if she said it several times before, like ie ( 2a - (+4a) is the difference between positive two minus positive 4 . The operator changes to positive and the sign changes to negative. Mine might be the old ancient way.

At 10:23 (the part in the video), I was taught to divide both terms by the GCF. The GCF would be on the outside of the parenthesis. I would divide the terms, and use them in the inside of the parenthesis.
