Algebra 2 - Inverse Functions

This lesson is an intro to inverse functions and has a step-by-step way to solve them in a straightforward way. We also graph the functions and don't adhere to the major rules in the books, doing it our own way. YAY MATH, boo.

My math class is honestly the most boring class ever. My math teacher spends half the period going over homework from the night before and then rushes to teach the lesson! If it weren't for yaymath I would fall so behind! Thank you soooo much for making math interesting & breaking it down so that anyone could understand it. You have no idea how much it helps!

I remember how I used to be in a daze during my math classes because everything seemed so cryptic. I literally dreaded and hated even the idea of Math. But your classes are limpid and clear, I love them. I don't always understand the applications nor the reasons behind them but at least I can follow the process and most of all you make them so fun, it takes away all the dread of math classes. Thank you for sharing your passion, this is an invaluable lesson for all of us.

Great piece, spirited and to the point. One thing your students should know about inverses, they are used in design, engineering and manufacturing. They help us make wonderful and absolutely symmetrical objects, also useful for analyzing objects and forces, retracing, for instances, or forensics. We humans barely lived without them, their usefulness and value. Keep up the wonderful job

We need more teachers like you! With your personality. I made the mistake on choosing a math class that is an hour long, so my teacher teaches really quickly on material that was supposed to be taught in a few days (ex. zeros of polynomial functions) and my teacher teaches it in a day. I'm currently on inverse functions and trying to understand all this out, thank you.

I remember, few days ago I taught my students this topic including composite functions however I don't multiply x and (y-3)/5 with 5. If me,I simply bring 5 to the other side so from division, it s converted to multiplication. So.. 5x = y-3. y = 5x+3 This way is good too, Mathematics has so many ways of solution but in the end you get the same answer. I am happy because my students started liking additional mathematics lol.
