Hey Jean la primera vez que un español habla enteramente con un inglés siempre es difícil, porque hablan a otro ritmo o porque te quedas pillado. A no ser que seas un máquina, pero eso no quiere decir que tengamos un inglés malo. Simplemente no es nuestro idioma y ya está

Alfred and Amaia are a perfect example of how important the right performers are to lift up a song. Salvador had the quirky personality and the bond with his sister last year that helped their song become more beloved. It is important to have an artist who suits the entry, this is something that will make or break a song. It baffles me how people complain about the staging in the live show taking focus from the performance, but fail to realise that having the fitting performer for an entry is the same as setting the stage before a single note is sung.

Like they said they are normal people and when i watch them i feel this "normal" aura. I hope that they will get a good place at eurovision, not just because of bad results in past years for Spain but because of how nice and cute they are as people.

I think I just fell in love with these two. For some reason they've made the song seem more genuine for me now and not just another empty ballad. I also love how today was a pretty nice day weather wise and they're just there in their coats lol.

Well, in Spain we usually don't have great english teachers and lessons in High School/College (yet, but it's improving everyday). In my opinion there are 2 important factors to that: 1- Franco's dictatorship and the fact that not so many years ago the second (and obligatory) language in spanish schools was french, not english. Our parents know some french but 0 english. 2- Spanish is such a big and important language worldwide (at least in 'our known past world') that in the last decades they/we didn't think that it was too important to learn english (factor 1 is important here again, a cultural&social thing I guess). Every movie or TV show is dubbed too, so... E.G.: I lived in Portugal for a while and they have so many things in original version with portugueses subtitles... here only the new generations see original versions with subs thanks to internet downloads, torrent, Netflix, etc. :D But there's where the optimism finds its place, there's where our hopes lie. Young spaniards are nowadays playing videogames talking in english, they are watching movies and series in english, and they are active in social media and KZread so they are improving. Step by step. Give us some years and we'll be as good as the rest of non-english european countries :) We try our best, I swear ;)

I have nothing against them I really hope they win but any of my friends speaks better English than them, they are particularly bad at English.

Love the interview: good questions, nice interviewer with a warm personality. Amaia and Alfred doing their best with the English knowledge they have, it's OK! They were as they are, cute, natural and funny.

They're so adorable but I couldn't stop listening to the music the buskers were playing. When 'Zombie' started I almost started crying I can't get over Dolores O'Riordan's death. They are my 4th place and wish them well, their English is also quite good, wouldn't hurt for them to expand their vocab but I'm sure it's difficult to speak another language so who am I to judge? Wish them all the best :)
