One thing that stands out the most with his voice is how insanely powerful it is, and I could tell he could easily sing twice as loud as he was here. He has a magnificently strong voice. What a set of lungs!

As Alfie Boe's voice soared over the crowds and those images of London 'lit up' today it was just so moving. Alfie always gets to the heart of the emotion of a song with that pure and beautiful sound but it was a beacon in itself for everything that the Victory in Europe celebrations stand for.

as a serving soldier this really made me cry...always thinking of two of my brothers who didn't come home.

What a great cover. Alfie brings a passion to this song. Gary lightbody wrote a beautiful song that can be song in almost any genre with any great singer. I don't see Katy perry, Justin beiber, or Taylor swift pulling that off. It is just like Lenard Cohen's hallelujah.

Twosie76 Alfie had to have it shaved off for a promo shoot, he's going back into Les Mis on Broadway, Sept '15 thru Feb '16. And he'll probably have to keep it shaved for most of the run. Brrrrrrr (Looks like a plush toy, doesn't he.)
