I have a bit of advice and yes I'm an old woman who might know a bit about relationships, my suggestion is the two of you sitting down and just talk ! I know that sounds like just a simple thing to do but there are rules to abide by before you do it ! No yelling or blaming the other person , be in a calm relaxing atmosphere, and only talk about the two of you bring no one else into this conversation , retrack your steps in YOUR relationship just simply talk to each like two adults , ur talking to each others best friend find your way back there and the journey where you fell in love and knew you wanted to married ! Trust and find your way back to each other then embrace it reconnect with each other ! Remember no shaming or blaming you must learn how to reconnect with all the cards on the table and compromise where you can and hopefully these conversations you will find your way back to each other but it has to be both of you not just one both of you have to want and believe you can do this ! ❤

To anyone going through the feelings of no longer loving one another. Living in the same house, sleeping in the same bed but you feel like strangers. If you still love them fight for what you had, tell him how you feel, give him a chance to fight with you. If he/she doesn't want to change with you then you know you did everything you can before you walk out the door. Don't stay in unhappiness, it's your life, your heart!!

I can never find the courage to say goodbye... but I've tried for so long to save my marriage and its never gotten any better....

I balled listening to this today. As a man it’s hard to face things that are out of our control. Life beats us up so bad. I had to remind myself today that 1 bad day doesn’t mean the end. In the course of a lifetime together 1 day is nothing. We have to fight for our spouses, we have to give 100% when they can’t. They give 100 when we can’t. It’s a team effort and sometimes we have to help the other one out. People are far too often quick to walk away. I choose to stay, I choose to fight for it, I choose us and always will.

Thank you for posting this comment. I agree in this as well ...28 yrs of abuse made me resentful. I got help and still want a divorce. The man has done many devlish things to ruin my reputation and all I am. And says mean hateful death threats and I was held at gunpoint etc. People hear about murders, and never do they think ,they see an end or way out and for those that have seen any abuse, any kind, should seek help. And leave! You cant get help until you speak out. I was too confident MY marriage would be successful with my 'want' alone...but with severe control that started our relationship. I tried to be perfect in all ways just to see him happy. He is pestimistic, and only degrades me. This leads people to defensive places. I chose US every time... But I need respect and a loving partner for my golden years. So I am taking time to myself and treasuring moments I have with my ex and kids (rare) And see grandkids as much as possible. But divorce means moving away from all I love and worked for....without taking a penny. And truly wishing him the best. I will forever be heartbroken. But I still give advice to ALL to work for your relationship...when all the "I cant do this anymore!" Catches up. When its done? you feel it. Ive been so crazy these past 2.5 yrs. I had to grieve my marriage. Worse than any death. And Ive seen many. God Bless all that read this! Still working on me as to not let my faults destroy the beautiful person Ive grown to be, humbled and kind standing by the word of God! We GROW through What we GO through. 🙏

After 15 years of being married it sure is hard not taking things for granted. I’ve caught myself and him letting those little things slide by until it bothered one of us enough to say something. The problem is at that point the emotions are high and sometimes we don’t listen to what the other one is saying. We can unintentionally hurt the other one….just remember that the little things matter more than the big things !! Showing courtesy and respect can go along way

Love this song! Reading comments is rough seeing so many people missing that feeling, just know it's never truly gone. Times change and things around you change, people usually do not. That person is still there, just need a little reminding from time to time. Words can paint a beautiful picture in your mind, but actions can paint a beautiful picture that can last forever! The best thing that happened to me is when I learned we weren't worth the fighting for anymore. Fight to fix your relationship if you can but recognize if it's unfixable and fight for you instead.

Im 33. Got with my boyfriend in 2012. We've been together 12 years, this July. And as much as I love him... we are more roommates than a couple. We're not intimate (that's my bad, my body is having issues and he resents me for never "acting as a girlfriend" and satisfying him and treating/acting as his girlfriend.. my body just doesn't get excited or want to anymore... I've walked on eggshells 90% of our relationship, because no matter how I felt, no matter how much I would say or feel. I would be talked over, interrupted, or told I shouldn't feel or think a certain way.. he wants me to be how he envisions his "perfect" girl, and I'm no longer her.. he's never physically abused me.. but he's definitely mentally and emotionally abusive.... but he doesn't see that.. we have our good days and bad days, but 95% of the time it's just.... bad... I never do enough, not doing something right, not doing/saying/thinking the same way he does. We got together and we were completely different and it worked for us, it was amazing.... now we can't stand it. He will tell me to leave and when I start to pack, he says "If u pack ur shit and leave, then we're done" basically told me to leave but then says it's my choice if I continue to pack and leave even tho he tells me to... I love him... but I'm exhausted... fed up, and numb. It's really sad 😔
