That change really floored me -- made me think about how there isn't always a lot of difference between the L-word and the F-word, almost more a matter of who is telling the story more than any difference in what two people did together.

Not only does this show her amazing voice but also Blinks amazing songwriting

That is the perfect comment! Cause not everyone has the same interests in music types and coming from someone who listens to everything and loved blinks version! Im one who take the lyrics in more than music or anything else and there’s so many rap, heavy metal, punk emo, and other song that the lyrics are deep but some people don’t know them so it’s great to see these kind of songs done differently for other people to feel the power of the lyrics

Mark and Tom wrote it with Scott, their original drummer (according to AZ Lyrics) so I'd imagine they would've had to OK the cover. If not them then the record company.

Song makes waaaaay more sense now and gives me chills listening to her sing it. Dont think it could have been covered any better.

I remember when this came out as a teenager. It always had that heartbreaking feel to it an especially with the music video. My favorite blink 182 song by far and after everytime I listen to it, the only word I can find is "Dammit"

“I guess this is growing up” hits completely now. 90s kid here and loved this song back in middle school and it hits completely different now. In the best way possible. It’s like the song matured with us overtime and it’s like hearing from a different perspective now and it works perfectly! Beautifully done.

I am a huge Blink fan. This is one of their best tracks....but this version hits right in the guts so much harder. Wow.

And her personality is off the charts fantastic!

@@HattieJosh they were a pop band with punk influences. MTV has never properly labeled anyone. They called No Doubt "ska" and Fall Out Boy "emo." Blink just got the punk label because everyone at MTV has always been an idiot. Except Kurt Louder. He was alright.
