Bro I’m glad I’m not the only one going through this specific scenario. I’m still in the same neighborhood that I grew up in but all my friends either moved away, lost their minds, or died. And I’m just solo dolo now. I can distinctly recall moving into my dorm room at university back in September of '97 and hearing this song playing from a stereo with a group of fellow residents playing vollyball in the gorgeous sunshine of the late Vancouver summer, and thinking this is going to be a great year (which it most definitely was)

Wow, been listening to these guys since junior high. 35 yrs old now. Just saw them in Hershey. It was epic!

Blink at their best. They capture the reluctance and angst of growing up better than anyone.

I'm 20 years old and reading all the comments below make feel like I should enjoy this moment while listening to blink-182. I can't imagine how I'll feel when I'm 40 and crying out for wanting to come back to good old times

I was just a kid who moved in from north jersey, me and literally next door neighboor at the age of like 5-7 i can’t remember would listen to this all the time. We made a little band and preformed in the driveway. His older brother put me on this and ill never forget it. Looking back, im 23 now. Dont take anything for granted

These guys were marketed as a "bad boy" clownish boy band or something. But their songs are actually very clever and sophisticated, with deep meaningful lyrics. Sick hooks.

I have had the slow part at 2:04 stuck in my head for a year now and could not for the life of me find this song, but then someone played an instrumental version of the song in their video and I remembered that it was the rest of the song... It feels SO GOOD to finally figure out what song has been stuck in my head FOR THE PAST 12 FUCKING MONTHS!!!

totally agree the slow down part is awesome and it is what makes this song great. Otherwise it wouldhave been the same 4 chords progression. That one, instead, gives the song "breath"

Du Riechst So Gut so your comment is marked as spam for some reason and I can not make it normal again. For the people that cant see his comment he asked me "if its stuck in your head why didn't you look up the lyrics" My response is that the part that was stuck in my head had no lyrics. It was the calm guitar part that started around 2:04 and ended at around 2:20 I couldn't remember any other part of the song and actually did not know that it was even rock until I heard another song similar to it and remembered the rest of the song.

Crazy how that one opening riff just brings back a tidal wave of memories and emotions. I can even smell the Manic Panic hair dye and taste the Surge.

42 years old. Haven't watched this video since it was played on MTV back when the song was released. Thanks for giving me a bit of my youth back. I guess this is growing up.

This song lives rent free in my head forever.

I love that wholesome ending where the band mates high five each other and the boyfriend that was attacking the other guy reconciles with him and he talks with the other members.

The song that launched a mega band. Perfect simple Rhythm section 3 chord Bass with basic drum pattern. Mixed with one of the most iconic punk-pop riffs ever and Mark screaming the lyrics to his highest ability. A video every heart broken 15-20 year old can relate to. Recipe for a masterpiece of the genre.

I remember seeing Tom Delonge at a CompUsa in 1999-2000 or so in Encinitas California. I was 11 or 12. Super random, he was just buyin' a computer. I remember pointing over towards him and he just had this face like "Please don't draw attention to me....please". Hahaha I just left it alone. Even at that age I recognized celebs are just normal people at the end of the day. They just wanna go out like everyone else.

I don't often listen to Dude Ranch but when I pop it into my car's CD player (how shitty is it that in 2016 I still have to deal with CDs? lol) it stays for at least a week. Something beautiful to me about this album, I can just listen to it over and over again
