Alexander had just won his first stunning victory over the Persian empire at the Battle of the Granicus River. But with news of a real threat in the west the Persian high King Darius would begin raising his army and preparing to march to meet Alexander, a fight which would decide the fate of the Persian empire.

The man I was named after (well middle name) : D Gotta say, that probably was what got me interested in ancient warfare tactics
I've seen so many videos on the battles but i don't see anything in the history that states he's a tactical genius and only that he had good decision making and things went well.

Don't mean to offend you dude, but being a good decision maker is the requirement for a tactical genius. And he was both a brilliant strategist and a brilliant tactician. Either you don't understand military tactics or you haven't read a single thing about him. Cause the history books have a lot to say about his brilliant generalship, they criticize his character but not his campaigns.
