the Movie 300 was made by the enemies of Iran. they hate us Iranians and they're jealous of our glorious civilization. lets not forget that Human rights was invented by us Persians, we ended slavery and established racial equality in 539BC when the rest of the world were literally savages. Persians should've been the good guys in 300.

If there is a reason why he want to expand his kingdom, that will be to spread his teaching and revolutionary societal rule. If persian had won the battle in greek, slavery can be abolish thousands of years before modern times. You will probably wonder how the world will thrive with a government that does not discriminate different faith and ban slavery. Mind you, every kingdom around persia at that time glorify slavery and sacking other cities. Cyrus probably conquered the other kingdom to eliminate the constant looting and sacking of his territories and at the same time spreading the persian way of life without slavery and without discrimination.

So what? Cyrus II was the _only_ emperor in ancient times (& the only ruler until the 18th century!) who abolished slavery in his empire. The Greeks were far from the only people to keep slaves; African societies took & used slaves for centuries before any white man thought of going to Africa--when they weren't being enslaved, brutalized, & transported up through North Africa by Arab Muslims, that is. There are even records of African slaves being imported to China. As ancient civilizations go, some of the Greek city-states had more freedom overall than any other during their era.

Persian history, civilization, culture, customs and traditions have been one of the richest and most beautiful empires of all time. The first kingdom of the world was Cyrus the Great. A prophet who embodied all the purity and goodness of his time. But he did not force or enslave any people. Liberation of the Jews. Reconciling nations. Due to the enmity and perhaps jealousy of European historians and unfortunately the destruction of history books due to the invasion of Alexander and then the Arab invasion and then the Mongol invasion, historical information about Iran is much less than information about Greece or Rome. The impact that the Iranians had on the evolution of human society, whether through inventions and discoveries and having the greatest scientists and physicians, is a great blessing to humanity. I hope that the services of Iranians to the world will be paid more and better. And know that the Islamic Republic is not the representative of the pure land of our ancestors.

According to historical data, the Achaemenid Empire in its largest territory extended from the Balkans and Eastern Europe in the West and to the Indus Valley in the East. This empire reached its highest area during the time of Xerxes I, which was about 8 million square kilometers (3.1 million square miles). A region that includes Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Bahrain, China, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Georgia, Turkey, Chad, Sudan and many other regions of the world. It would be today. The Achaemenians were the first unified empire that ruled this vast area for more than 200 years and are also known as the first superpower in history. On the other hand, one of the special records of the Achaemenids is ruling over 44% of the total population of the planet at the time of the peak expansion of the territory, which has no similar case in history.

Over the next 5,000 years we will all be liberated. You’ll reunite with loved ones from previous lives. The Domain expeditionary force just needs to build up their fleet to overturn the earth governments. Then we’ll have new bodies they don’t require sleep or as much food. We won’t need to eat meat or plants. We’ll just eat a chalky white substance for nutrition. Things will improve. And we will all perhaps return home one day.

@@Quan_Fu , Persians were & are white people. All Iranians are white originated from Eastern Europe long before the arrival of the Slavs. Aryans(Scythians) who migrated to the Iranian Plateau 8 to 10,000 years ago & gradually established their various kingdoms (one of them was the kingdom of Persia). About 2500 years ago Cyrus the king of Persia united all the Iranian kingdoms into one empire (Iranian empire & called it Arya-Shahr, which means the Aryan-Civilization) today it's known as Persian empire because Cyrus was an Iranian-Persian. The Iranians had developed many Iranian dialects over time so after they were unified by Cyrus the Great Iranians used their Persian dialect as their unifying dialect which is used to this day. Persian dialect evolved from its ancient Persian to Middle Persian (Pahlavi) and to its modern Persian (Parsi/Farsi) today.

Correction- Immortals were very different, they were taken as a young baby and are raised in a special section of the kingdom , They ALWAYS would wear mask and no one out side of that special area ever knew what that person looked like thus in case someone died another from the unit would replace them and giving the impression of IMMORTAL. And they were trained in every form of fighting be it archery, swords of all type(I hope you understand the difference of fighting style when the size and shape of the swords vary), well versed in poisons , spear techniques. It is said that they have never came back deleted . Their will to serve the kingdom was so great that even if someone was dying they would use the poisons they were carrying to take down a good number of them

Much of Greece was Persian territory and because of the peace brought about by the Persian rule, Greece prospered so much (even Herodotus was a Persian citizen). After Alexander (the not so great) Greece was devastated, and there was no more peace to bring about intellectual work. That put an end to Greek cultural and intellectual influence in the world.

When Alexander the Great became King, Persia was conquered entirely. That was the END of Persia and the beginning of a Greek Golden age

I always enjoy history of the Persian Empire and others in the Middle East, as we only studied limited amounts in American schools in the 1980s. Even less is taught these days.
