When he was at his peak in the 80’s, nobody could touch him. He’s lost a lot of his stage presence and voice range but he will always be known as the man with that incredible voice…but with that being said I love me some Alexander O’Neal and will always be a fan….yesssssssssss I will.💃🏿🥰

I’m just a fan of this man from the first time I heard him sing on his first album but especially when I heard If You Were Here With Me Tonight…..He just had that incredible voice even Jam and Lewis commented about his voice and what he could do with his voice. Yeah, Luther was Luther…we all loved us some Luther….. we all know that he’s Luther!!!

God, I hate drugs, it has really hurt our communities. I wish him nothing but the best. Keep fighting Alexander. What a gorgeous voice he had.

Yes prayers to/for Alex on his farewell tour and whatever he chooses to do after….. but I would love it if he just took some time off and came back out of “ retirement “ because Alex your fans will miss you too much.🥰

Man, the memories are making me cry. I love this song and loved being alive when this song was on the radio during this time period. The days seem so loving and love was in the air all the time.

‼️I can’t think of anything nice to comment so I will just share a good pancake recipe for Alex.. 1 cup milk 1 cup buttermilk 1/2 tablespoon butter, melted 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, thawed 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries thawed 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen raspberries 1. In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and sugar. In a small bowl, beat together egg and milk and buttermilk. Stir milk and egg into flour mixture. Mix in the butter and fold in the blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries Set aside for 1 hour.A 2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle. or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve. EnJoy ✊🏾

It was nice to see him but not nice to listen to him sing nor talk tbh. His backing band were great, and the engagement from his backing vocalists also helped to sweeten the whole thing (with his band). It would have no merit if it was an acoustic tour though…

He was such a good looking guy in his day! He's just played a small theatre in middle England..a long way from home ! They said the backing singers carried him but he could sing! But struggled with his mobility. Lifestyle choice I guess.

That’s not age so much as drugs. Patti sounds great; Jeffrey Osborne sounds incredible- just saw him. Alex is a drug user and it really took a toll on his voice. I love his first three albums.
