YEP YEP YEP ....I did that with this song..........I drove from Michigan to DC played this song 13 hours..!! Pain was for real!!

Many times during my lifetime, I was not able to listen to this track, so I skipped it a lot, but I just want to say : Alex this is the most beautiful song ever to me. ❤️

I will say this I had someone walk out of my life and they did it so harshly! I've listened to this song for years and it didn't bother me a little bit! It didn't bother me until I lived it recently! I'm driving my car today September 2022 and the relationship has been over since the end of June 2022 and as a man I can honestly say when you have lived the lyrics to a song it really hits different! So I understand what you mean and Alex is one of the baddest that ever have done it. In his prime Luther Freddy nobody could talk him you might equal him but you won't top him!

I remember this tune vividily. Alexander and I lived less than an hour from each other in Mississippi. Our school played their school and Alexander was the Natchez star and my brother Michael was our town star. And we were all performing on the chittling circuit.

Even the unreleased singles on this album were bangers. This is a classic to me. Alex put his big ole foot in this song. And Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis did their thing! The vocals, music, production are everything!

I'm like Man this makes me think of her like crazy. She adopted me when I was 3 and told her husband/my dad. And said to him that's that. No discussion, no nothing. And nobody told my dad to do anything. 🤨🤨 She loved me. Taught me. Punished me. Encouraged me. I hope I made her proud. 🙏🏽 I can never repay her or thank her enough.
