А дальше, потекла прекрасная музыка Великого Мастера Сергея Рахманинова руками- нет, всем телом , всей душой такого юного, но уже зрелого Мастера - Александра Малофеева. Так мягко и так зрело, так неожиданно прочувствованный Вами, Сашенька, мой любимый концерт. Мне 58лет, но первый раз я слушала в полном умилении и понимании единой звуковой и душевной гармонии. Вы правильно поняли и передали нам замысел Великого композитора, искусно управляя оркестром вместе с дирижёром. ОГРОМНОЕ СПАСИБО. Пусть Господь поможет Вам приумножать этот талант, которым Он наградил Вас. Здоровья и терпения, радуйте нас Вашим исполнением прекрасной музыки. Отдельная благодарность родившим, воспитывающим и наставляющим Вас.

I appreciate the elegance of the phrasing, the perfect technique, the strong and delicate execution with feeling, but dosed without smudging and without any interpretative excess. The gesture of the hands on the keyboard is very correct and elegant. Phrasing above all others: as a great and mature interpreter. Great fairness and professionalism. At the end the very tender image of a very young little boy: and you cannot believe that this splendid performance comes from this child with such a fragile and delicate appearance. And then the encores, to remind you that the little child who smiles as if in disbelief is actually already a great pianist, an exceptional interpreter.

Crying uncontrollably listening to this offering. I grew up with the emphasis on Rachmaninoff, and especially this concerto #2. It was the link between my parents and they loved this music with heart and soul. And though separations came between me and my family for other reasons, I can still honor them and love them, especially when I hear this God given music. Blessings to all. I started watching Alexander Malofeev at the beginning of the Covid19 pandemic. I stopped watching the news and turned on Alex for 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon. My husband and I both love Alexander. I've compared him to others on KZread and the feeling I get from his playing is pure heaven. Thank you Alexander. You have changed my world for the better.

I can’t even begin to imagine the dedication, hard work and long hours of this young man’s life spent acquiring such perfection and musical artistry. What a gifted human. I can’t stop viewing this delightful and flawless performance. Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto 1 has always been my favorite, but his performance of Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto 2 is now tied for 1st place with me.

I started crying within the first 30 seconds of his playing. And I'm a 40-year-old man! Just sublime. :)

Rachmaninov had extremely large hands, for his finger reach across the keyboard, which makes his pieces more difficult to Master. I own this piece for two pianos, and I can testify that Rachmaninov’s compositions expressed his feelings throughout his era. Not only does his music carry themes, but the intricacies of the entire keyboard is his springboard of a complete masterpiece equivalent to Michael Angelo’s artistic expression, through this young beyond gifted child that Mastered Rachmaninov’s Creation! Bravo!👌🏽

What an outstanding performance by everyone involved. I have huge respect for this very talented young man, I simply can not find the words. Rachmaninov did not compose music for amateurs but for those who have a serious love of music that can touch the soul. The amount of work this young man has put in to reach this point is staggering, it requires a dedication that only a few are willing to put in. His talent will shine for many years to come.

I realize what a lot of time and effort goes into his practice, from the little bit he says about it...he gives 150 per cent of himself for the enjoyment of other people. Мне посчастливилось слышать запись исполнения этого концерта автором. Очень близко. Может быть сыграло роль, что запись имеет не очень чистый звук. Но с Рахманиновым пока никто не сравнится. И очень радует молодое поколение одаренных исполнителей. Прошу не судить строго. Я дилетант. От музыки очень далека. Но это произведение - шедевр. Первые аккорды и ....слезы градом

Это закон: пианист на концерте всегда играет без нот. Ноты отвлекают. Надо так железно знать произведение наизусть, прочувствовать, знать его каждой своей клеточкой, стать этой музыкой, вжиться в неё. Это можно сделать только наизусть. Колоссальный труд даже в работе над небольшим произведением.... а тут КОНЦЕРТ !!! Браво! Если играешь по нотам - ещё далеко до погружения, до результата, какой задумал автор.

Господи! Этот мальчик понял что то самое главное в этой музыке. То неуловимое, волшебное...то, что теряют 95 % виртуозов. Они играют ноты, он играл Музыку. Простите меня, я не специалист, не музыкант. Просто люблю Рахманинова. И давно поняла что играть его могут очень и очень немногие. Мне казалось, что из современных никто. И вдруг этот мальчик. И тень Маэстро рядом. Спасибо!

When our Kristian Zimmerman was preparing for the Chopin's Festival he was practicing for 8 hours a day . He had to have a great talent to start with, but practice is needed to add fluency to the fingers. With a talent like this young boy the hours of practice are probably a pure joy to him and preferable way of spending his "free time" but still hats off to him for a preseverance in finding the perfect expression of this music.

This is my favorite piano concerto and he plays it to perfection. This guy is pure genius at such a young age! Mozart reborn!

At this performance, he's 15 y.o. - already a concert pianist! - and plays with such beauty, such focus, insight, dynamics and such elegance -- so that other professionals are left speechless. Yet, this gifted Russian boy remains so humble, kind, appreciative. I, among many, have an immense admiration for this young accomplished performer. I pray for his health and his happiness as he travels the world sharing his love of the beloved music. May he stay close to the One who is greater than all.

He’s amazingly talented. The Rach2 Is so difficult!!!

Bloody hell....Rach 2 is my all time favorite piece. I've heard it 5000+ times from different various artists. I've never heard someone so young play this piece this well. I've played this piece as an adult and I can't imagine having the depth at 15 years old to understand this. This is amazing....I just happened upon this so now I'm going to have to follow this kid. (my current modern favorite performer for this piece is Anna Federova)

What's amazing is not only that this marvelous artist was only 15 at the time he performed it, but that this is absolutely one of the best Rach 2 interpretations I've ever listened to. Bravo to this tremendous young artist and the talents of Kristjan Järvi and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic.

It was just amazing to watch his mastery over the score and the piano -- I was just transported to a far realm as he played. Thank you Alexander. You are a gift to yourself and the whole world. Прошло три года. Сегодня этот Мастер уже не Саша , а Александр Малофеев-признанный Мастер пианистического искусства, один из лучших пианистов современности. Рахманинов в его исполнении один из лучших, как и тогда, три года назад. Как умел Сергей Васильевич писать ТАКУЮ РУССКУЮ МУЗЫКУ никто нам не скажет, но лучше этого концерта N2 я ничего на знаю. А как Саша Малофеев преподносит его слушателям мы слышим -прекрасно , так, что мы ,,видим’’ все, что он и хочет нам показать. Всего самого лучшего хочется пожелать этому талантливейшему музыканту.

This is sublime. I took classical piano lessons for years, have an undergraduate degree in music, and played in numerous recitals. People often ask me why I never made a career of it, and this video really puts it in perspective: Malofeev could do more at 15 than I could have ever accomplished even with decades of study and practice. I think you're either born with it or you're not, and he clearly was. I look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in the coming years.

For starters, the bro is gifted. Secondly, he probably got in touch with the instrument as early as possible. Thirdly, he probably was in an insanely good environment to grow as a mega specialist. Fourthly, he was willing to commit with everything he had. It is unfair to compare yourself to such individuals, give yourself a bit of slack!

Embrace your own talents and develop your skills. Uniqueness > being the best. I've been taking piano lessons for like 12 years now and still can't play a single full classical piano song. Though I know where I'm heading. Good things take time and progress is never lineair. Keep your head up king.

La sensibilité russe , la fureur et la douceur, c'est un mariage magnifique

My piano teacher, may she rest in peace, always stressed expression. She would say the mechanics can be taught - the feeling can't. She was so right. This young man at the young age of 15 has given me and thousands his best. I play the piano - since 9 - now 84 - and I know what it takes to practice a piece over and over until it sounds like the composer wanted. I found this by accident but be assured I will listen and watch many more of his brilliance.

I thought there was no way a teenager could capture this extraordinary music. I am in awe. He has captured the Russian soul and fire. I have a recording of Rachmaninoff playing this. This young man has captured his magic. And thank you to the orchestra which did a wonderful job Ipoh creating the necessary tension with the piano.

I confirm, I have been listening for this concert for hours, while working, and it was making my soul feel so light... Мой любимый с детства второй концерт Рахманинова. Он навсегда вошёл в душу с фильмом " Баллада о солдате", и остаётся всё таким же актуальным и сегодня, на фоне переживаемых нами событий судеб солдат и матерей нашего великого народа в 2023 году, слушаю и плачу ... I have been privileged in my 73 years to witness many breathtakingly beautiful performances by so many wonderfully talented musicians, both in America, and when I lived Europe in the 1950s and 60s, but to see and hear and experience true genius has gladdened my heart! This young man doesn't just play the music, he becomes the music. He immerses himself in the beauty of the genius of Rachmaninov and leaves his audience spellbound! My goosebumps had goosebumps!

David Berry Yes, I concur absolutely, Dave. You have articulated my own feelings. It’s heartwarming and yet a little unnerving to witness such talent in the early Springtime of a life. I found myself cheering him, envying him, regretting my own mediocrity with performance, wondering how he arrived at such mastery of such a slice of civilization. This power of musicianship makes me wonder, again, if I was ever even capable of approaching Alexander’s propulsion and mature discipline, while also falling in love with his adorability and hoping no one bruises his vulnerability. He’s the international meteor many of us hoped to be, but weren’t, and maybe should never have tried or could not have achieved. Long after such doubt ceased haunting me, here I am, regretfully astonished and wistful again, but certain no one should sacrifice their boyhood or girlhood, or their chance to make mistakes and meander a little. I truly wish for Alexander the life he wants, or at least one that reciprocates some of the alluvial meaning and soaring exhilaration he’s humbly generating for others.
