I could listen to Alexander play the piano all day long. I don't care whether it's slow and dreamy or fast and wild, he somehow makes it come alive. Hard to explain, but he's quite amazing.

Watching and hearing him play is a deeply spiritual experience (no religious connotations intended). He is so transparent; each time he plays, I feel I am getting a small glimpse into his soul. He is indeed a gift to our world; musicians like this are one among millions and millions. We are doubly blessed because we've literally been able to watch him grow up because his gifts allowed him to start so young. I pray this world will always understand and respect this depth of talent and show him the appreciation he deserves. Thank you, Alexander, for sharing your life with us. What a privilege and blessing it has been and always will be.

How fortunate we are, although distant, to be able to share in each performance Alexander provides to us via KZread. It is not often The Seasons is part of many concert repertoires. Nonetheless, the notes on the page are dead, until they come alive through the sensitivity of the musician. With the soul to appreciate the compositions, and the heart to coax them to mesmerizing sounds to captivate, Alexander is in a class by himself. Bless this talent for many years to come as more come to know this extremely fine musician.

I have discovered Alexander Malofeev.His career so far is on the internet from the earlist years..Thank goodness! I can't wait for more of his heartfelt brilliance.....

Poetic melancholy, flowers blooming, horses galloping through the forest, flowers reaching up through the snow, a crackling winter fire with friends gathered round - it’s all there❣️ And it’s all brought to us with shimmering tone, by a master pianist….💖

Just sitting here in stupefied silence... Hopefully I will enjoy Alexander's playing for many more years. In a word; remarkable.

I do not think that, in my 78 years of listening to music, I have heard the like before. And I doubt that I will ever hear the like again. It is almost as if Alexander has become one with his piano and, between them, they have brought Tchaikovsky to life for us all. Thank you Alexander for enriching our lives with this wonderful gift.

@@paulmetdebbie447 Agreed - a very individualistic and idiosyncratic performance. He does all sorts of things with the tempi to achieve a delightfully gentle and warm interpretation. I believe it was written to be played in the home with the family gathered round the piano on a cold winters evening. Alexander's interpretation meets this goal without falling into sentimentality, which, some might say, is a fault of Pletnev.

Какое же чудо оба-Чайковский и Александр. Создать такое волшебство. Лёгкая,изящная,радостно воздушная, порхающая музыка. Спасибо за новое звучание этого произведения. У Вас душа ангело-чайковская. Вы это доказали своим превосходным исполнением. Чудесно хрустальный звук детства. Красота мелодии льётся из-под кончиков пальцев. Любое Ваше выступление оставляет самые добрые воспоминания и невероятно приятное впечатление. Смотрю Вашими пальцами и душою на эту удивительную музыку,в которой я брожу,как в заколдованном,сказочном замке,за каждым поворотом новое потрясающе музыкальное открытие. Конечно талант и труд какой, чтобы так сыграть не только на инструменте, но и на струнах наших душ. Слушаешь и видишь:как погрелся у камелька,прогулялся в каком-то невероятном темпе,карнавальном,уносящим вихрем под небеса,сорвал несколько хрупких подснежников, прокатился на гандоле по Венеции,очаровался теплом летних ночей и огромным куполом с пылинками звёзд,и уходящей к горизонту лунной дорожкой,шорохом осенних листьев,первым морозцем с запахом снега и серебром инея, полётом снежинок, колокольчиками на тройке и девичьими гаданиями . With enough practice, anyone can emulate virtuosity. But you, Sasha, are different. The music is inside of you; and before you even come on stage it is clear that you have had an internal conversation with the music and possibly even with what you may have thought the composer himself was thinking and feeling as he wrote down the notes. And then you are kind enough to share those conversations with us, even continuing them as you play as is evident from your body language and facial expressions. The final piece in this performance, “December” is one of the more beautiful pieces of music I have ever been privileged to hear played. Thank you

Something about Alexander Malofeev. Such a joy to watch and listen. He plays the music in such a manner he seems to be painting a picture across the heavenly skies for all to have and to behold. When he's done, the music seems to keep flowing beautifully like a stream, to me anyway. I can see why it takes him a bit to return to reality after he's indulged in the composer's masterpiece.
