For those of you who criticize this young man for the time it took him to adjust the height of the bench, I can only assure you, that particular design of piano bench is the most diabolical device ever invented to torment performers. It's based on a very imprecise spring action, in combination with a lever on the side (which never works properly) that could drive anyone crazy. You have to fiddle with it for what seems like an eternity before you get it to where you are comfortable.

VERY impressive, although the audio smears so badly, I couldn't tell at certain moments if he mixed up the notes or it was just the awful recording. In any way, Alexander Malofeev is a pearl of a pianist, and I'm scanning the internet for just about anything he recorded to listen and marvel. He is so unique and special. Every time he plays, I learn something new about the music he plays. I've listened to so much music, and own at least 6000 records --- so it is no easy task to "wake me up" time and again, in great surprise and so much joy. I love this fellow, and hope him all the best that can ever be.

I am a fan . I'm 82 but for rest of my life I am going to love the young man's genius
Barely 13 years old...and just one year later he performs the Prokofiev 3 in competition, and a year after that he performs the Rach 2. Amazing!

You are one in a million ❤
Просто превосходно!!
