Alexa Chung Repurposes Storm-Fallen Wood Into Everyday Objects | Forces For Change

Ойын-сауық

Alexa’s Art Tour sees presenter and model Alexa Chung visit forces for change in the art world who each lead their different practices with sustainability, community, and innovation at the forefront. In the second episode of the BMW and British Vogue series, Alexa takes a stroll through the forest with Sophie Sellu, a wood-worker who sources storm-fallen timber to lovingly sculpt practical objects - spoons, brushes, kitchen utensils - that double as art pieces. “If you want something to live in your home for a really long time, it’s so good to know it’s come from a good place,” Sellu says. "Quite unconsciously, I've always worked with either found materials, reclaimed timber or storm-fallen trees, just because it makes sense. I don't know why you wouldn't."
