Wow, I have no words for how beautiful this is and how it perfectly sums up losing your father. I’m coming up to two years since my dad passed. People say with time it gets easier, it honestly has just gotten harder without having him there to crack a joke and make me smile and forget my troubles for a moment. The line in the song about the mom with alcohol especially hits. My mom is a severe alcoholic and I’m watching her wasting away while trying to cope with the loss of my best friend, my dad. Dad wherever you are I love you more than anything in the world. You were my best friend and the most incredible person I’ve ever known. Not a second goes by that I don’t miss you. I love you so much.

7 years ago my sisters boyfriend died she found him dead. I always acted like he never died. In 2020 I amid it that he was gone and wasn’t coming back. It still hurts me to this day this song made me cry.

I watched the premiere of this song and when I say I cried- I relate to this song so much with my grandfather and my uncle. They were the closest family members I had and they both passed away in less than a year apart. My father never let me say goodbye to my grandfather so I always beat myself up by never telling him one more I love you or giving him one more hug. I miss them both so much and I wish that they were here ❤️

Finally got back to listening to this channel after being so busy and just on spotify for drives. Summer is hard, my grandfather passed in July '04, my coworker passed July '19, my first best friend/brother like passed Aug '16. My great uncle who had no kids passed Jan '19 but still am very connected with his wife even if the other family members are now excluding her.

Every relationship I've been has failed and I've been depressed since I was 5........my mom has had multiple seizures and this song brings all those memories good and bad.............I'm crying rn...... please pray for me

I know this song is about his dad passing away, but for me this song reminds me of my deceased uncle, we had such a lovely bond and when he passed away, I couldn't be there to say "I Love You" for the last time, so until now I regret for not visiting him.

I just lost my friend this week unexpectedly and this song was in my suggestions. This song hits different and it's so very true sadly. I know this song is for his dad but it hits me differently.
