In that moment Hill lost focus but Alex never lost focus or aggression. When you apologize to someone for doing something illegal, you drop you aggression and guard. That's exactly what Hill did but unfortunately for him, Alex did not. In fact Alex capitalized off of the fact that Hill dropped his guard and aggression. Hill tried to throw a jab to distract Alex's forward aggression but it was too late. Alex saw Hill's stance was vulnerable and he attacked. Simple as that.
