He'd be dead if he was taking 60 30 oxycontins. I mean I've known a lot of really hard addicts and they've never took that much. They wouldn't. He wouldn't be functioning. Moselle had a plane landing strip. I think he was heavily into drug dealing. The man was very heavily functioning in a high powered law office. Family friends and law partners had no idea he was taking pills. He is lying. Maggie was getting ready to divorce him. He was soon ready to lose his law license for financial crimes. Murdaugh name would be mud. Just that morning his law firm confronted him with his stealing. In a divorce they deeply investigated your finances. He did not want that. Maggie ONLY owned Moselle but in death he inherited it. There is your motive . Paul had to go because again he wanted to stop the lawsuits in boat accident and was not going to pay out millions in settlement

Lol, i seriously doubt he would be dealing pills. He had other ways to get money that was way less risky. All it would take is ONE person getting busted with pills they bought from him and he'd have been rolled over. If he had been taking them for that many years, plus was a big hefty dude, he probably had to take a crap ton just to feel "normal". I give it a zero percent chance he was "dealing". Whatever people's theories are on his motives, it's all just comjecture at the end of the day. Theories amd guesses are not evidence. If you were a juror, you would have to admit that there is reasonable doubt in this case that he committed murder. What if someone else he pissed off committed the murders? What if he pissed off someone he owef money to for the pills? Not Guilty all day long ya'll. Legally speaking, that is. Just not nearly enough evidence.

I didn’t abuse mine because I would not get them if I did. But I know people that are addicted to oxycodone and I have never heard of taking 60 pills! @@susanhawkins7435 Nah, i'd bet it's totally true what he's saying. He didnt say they were always 30mg. And im sure a big man like him with a huge opiate tolerance could have worked himself up over time into taking way WAY more than 10 of those 30mg pills. So.lets do the math: now, Im not sure what doses they make OxyContin in, but if they make 5mg pills, he'd have to take SIX of those just to equal one 30. If he was taking 10 of those a day, but only had 5mg pills at that time (he was obv securing random peoples unused perscriptions and buying from other random sources), theres your "60 or more pills a day". Easy. Totally plausible.

Yes. My son has lived in chronic pain for 10 years. Crying and screaming and vomiting from Crohn''s disease. When he was 19, a pharmacist threw a real prescription back at him over a counter and refused to fill a prescription for pain medicine. Wouldn't even fill it when I went back. It was hard to get his medicine until he was over 25 and moved out of Los Angeles to another state. Last year,, he finally was able to have surgery. They removed several sections of his intestines which took away that horrible pain. As soon as he was over the surgery, he didn't need any more pain medicine. Dependency is not the same as addiction.

I had no idea someone could take that much OxyContin & still be alive. 2000 milligrams a day is massive. I'm on 10 mg twice a day for chronic pain & spondoloarthritis. I get twitchy legs if I miss a dose. I can't imagine how hard it'd be physically withdrawing from 60 tablets a day. I imagine it's horrendous. No wonder he was tearing through money to buy the oxy's from cousin Eddie. It's really sad.

May I suggest that even family of murder victims be asked to allow a search of their pockets upon entering a patrol car? It could have been a weapon. Our patrol officers have found firearms in a police vehicle once the suspects exited. People have committed suicide after being in custody. It is a good preventative routine. I would guess it would be easily explained as protocol at that time. How weird this man always had pills, a well-groomed attorney in a law-and-order state, respected family and community ties. He had a lot to lose. Odd questioning, Eleck is such a self-advocate, it makes me think he is going on-and-on about his addiction to impress the jury. Most witnesses are advised to stay on track to answer questions. As they can be interrupted to remind them, “ we are not moseying down ‘memory lane’.”

So this big drug dealer gangster cousin of his, out of pure friendlyness allegedly said hey Bro Alex, don't worry. I'm a little sad you won't buy drugs for millions a year from me anymore, but since I got time, why not. I'll do it for free as a favor, since we're old buddies and I made so much money on you.
