Alex Murdaugh Interrogated About Brutal Murders of Wife and Son - FULL Interview

Ойын-сауық

WATCH: Alex Murdaugh gets interrogated by investigators for the third time following the brutal murders of his wife and son in June 2021. Almost three months later, Murdaugh spoke with police again to inquire about details of the killings and investigation. Agent David Owen, who considered Alex the “only known suspect” at this point in the case, grills the disgraced lawyer about his apparently inconsistent timeline from the night of the killings and directly asks him if he killed Maggie and Paul.

Alex had an attorney with him the night it happened. Like what? Who would care about a lawyer when you had just found your family dead. Also who wouldn't immediately tell police go protect my mom and my other son, someone is trying to kill us! He had zero fear about the rest of his family?

The fact that Alex lies about that not being his voice on the kennel and then supposedly realizing some “man’s voice” was apparently heard with Maggie and Paul down at the kennels (three minutes before they die) basically says everything. He’s guilty. Anyone who doesn’t see that is just foolish. Any other human father would be yelling “HOW DO WE FIND OUT WHO THAT IS!! Can I see the video!!!! Let me hear it!!!!”

This man has to have ice running through his veins. Imagine picking up a shotgun, holding it steady enough to aim it at your son's head, knowing you are about to kill your own son and pulling the trigger TWICE. Then picking up the next gun, after you just blew your son's head off, aim it at your wife, keep the gun steady, and pull the trigger FIVE times. Then, the nerve to proclaim your innocence and put all your friends, acquaintances and family through a trial, subjecting them to the horror you created, just so you can get away with murder and live your life.

That is not fake crying, in my opinion. Alex is a hugely conflicted man, granted. His conflict lies within himself, not with Maggie and Paul. The body language that is being read all over the place needs to take this into account. Any evidence of lying, in my opinion, is that he knows he is conflicted within himself, and his lies are to hide from himself. This sounds complicated, I know. He may be guilty of many other things. I doubt he killed Maggie and Paul.

The complicity in his death involves people from all levels within the legal system in that town from officers, Randy Murdaugh, the local coroner and even judges. Many have since quit or moved to pastures new for clear and obvious reasons. Heads should roll if that case ever gets to a court. It all seems to be allegedly linked to Buster who was supposedly in a relationship with Stephen and for obvious reasons the family did not want this to be publicised.

I think it's impossible to know how he should act since people grieve in different ways...and he is obviously grieving in my opinion. This being the first time I've heard him speak he is different than how I imagined he'd be...much more soft spoken. Much less like a monster or mad man. You can be a liar and thief without being a killer. With no physical evidence I'd be hard pressed to find him guilty....just not 100% convinced.

@@kathyann8974 Well, of course he’s trying to play all meek and mild...this is an interrogation, after all. The evidence is compelling...his father’s carer told the court that Alex visited that night (very unusual) and, although he was there for only 20 minutes, asked her to say he’d been there *twice* as long as that (just in case * anyone asked).* Sounds like he was setting up an alibi for himself. His voice was clearly heard on recording which placed him at the kennels, which he’s doggedly disputed, at the time of the murders. I’ve been watching his body language throughout and none of it adds up. Notice how controlled his ‘weeping’ is, how he surreptitiously peeks at whoever he’s with to gauge whether his performance is being bought. But that’s just my opinion..

IF it was anyone else: Alex would have been with Paul and Maggie when the murders were committed as evidenced by the Snapchat video. So then Alex was spared, and he knows who did it. He would have been a witness. Or if you still don't believe it was him, we know he left the house at 9:06 according to the OnStar evidence. So he had to have heard SEVEN gunshots and then left the house without checking on his wife or son. If someone was waiting for Alex to leave the house to ambush Paul and Maggie, how would they know how long he would be gone? If they saw him leave, how would they know he wouldn't turn around because he forgot something. So then they had to find the family guns, ammo, find Maggie and Paul, kill them and leave before Alex returned.

I mean there are 2 bold face lies and being deceptive in a 3 min span. Innocent people don't lie about questions he would obviously know the answer to. @D S R Ughh I'm so tired of people using that physical evidence bs. There is a mountain of evidence that points to him being guilty. Shoot even a few of them on their own is enough to convince a reasonable person to see that he's guilty. Just because there is no physical evidence in a murder doesn't mean you can't convict someone. There is like 20+ things that directly point to his guilt and all the lies he's told. Use common sense, if a guy is lying about a bunch of crucial details that an innocent man WOULD NOT lie about then it shows he was behind it. So let me ask you about 3 specific lies he's told and then how you can say "you're not sure"....1. He said that Maggie came down on her own to be with him when in fact he was the one who had her come and she was even saying to a friend it was really suspicious and he was up to something. 2. He told the police he didn't remember "playing with a tree" when in fact that was one of the last moments he spent with his youngest child before he was murdered which he obviously remembered and is in fact lying about, 3. The snap chat video where he was clearly there right before their murders. Now how on earth can you even just look at those 3 details of him caught in bold face lies and say you don't think there is enough to say he's guilty??? And that was literally like 3 things out of a pile of evidence that points directly to him. Also do you not realize that innocent people don't lie to investigators, especially about something your family was victim to? One lie ok you could say maybe it was a mistake but he has been caught in so many lies. I just don't understand people who actually say there is reasonable doubt. In my mind any doubt would be UNreasonable!

He often picks the approximate correct time to act emotional, but he doesn't seem to really understand where a human being would naturally trigger in a situation like this, in the wake of the sudden loss of loved ones. His guile might have served him with family members and the nary-a-care rich folk in his circle, but it doesn't work under any real scrutiny. Especially here in a box with a couple reasonably experienced detectives. He's been too entitled for too long to be able to hustle-up a sense of real empathy. He may get away with this but it'll be because he's rich, not because he's clever.
