    Yes. This POS kit sounds amazing with this software. Anything I don't get right during recording I go back and "fix" in the midi capture. I don't have room for a full size acoustic set... This is def the next best thing.

    well I just invested into a Alesis Nitro kit. and then got the complete 8 software to use with it when it gets here. So I cannot wait to get my $299 kit to sound amazing as yours does. Thank you again for making it so that I can save money on a drum kit. And not sacrifice sound quality.

    This answers the question of does dual zone snare triggering actually work on a DM6. Fiancee blindly purchased a Burst kit for Christmas for me. Bless her soul, she did not realize a Turbo Mesh was just a few dollars more, but man I'm in love with it. I can play at home now. Anyway it's been a continuing series of successful and unsuccessful upgrades since I got it. Added a DM kick drum tower to replace the awful switch pedal and that has been amazing comparatively. A seller on Ebay advertised the same 9" snare that is included with the Burst as a dual zone which it was NOT. Spent $80.00 on a spare single zone pad basically. Let the seller know and they still disagree with me. They insist it is dual zone and my snake or module must be malfunctioning. Getting an actual dual zone turbo mesh snare tomorrow and that will be the final upgrade to this kit. A module upgrade is not possible due to 1/8" TR mono connectors on the toms . I use it as a USB MIDI interface for Addictive Drums 2 complete and I'm seriously missing my rim shots. Thanks for the demo.

    Quite late but a heads up - the difference between Studio Drummer Lite vs Full is only playback quality, rather than number of drums - Full has a feature called round robin which makes things sound less repetitive when doing consecutive hits :)

    The thing I hate about using a DAW, is the latency. When youve been drumming long enough, you notice it sooo much. So I upload sounds from Kontakt right to the Alesis Forge module, sounds so much better than the pre loaded sounds from Alesis.

    Hi Greg, is this kit has MIDI Output ? I am guitarrist with some experience in playing drums during a period in my garage bands and I recently bought a M-Audio 192/6 Interface with midi In/out, I started to produce some personal stuff, for bass recording even whithout having this instrument I can create some good bass recordings with Ezbass or with my guitar and a Boss Oc2 pedal, but drums is completelly awful, I tried some Midi Keyboard, finger pads, Song creator of Ezdrummer and now I am looking for an eletronic drumset, I was thinking one of these table drums as Yamaha DD-65/75 because of the price and midi outputs, but I found recently one Alesis DM6 second hand condition for 120 euros, I really thinking about buying this one, even for record its real sound if I could not handle how to setup with some VST.

  • @GregsGarage

    @GregsGarage

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Luis Gabriel Perea I haven't had any recording troubles. I will say, you get what you pay for. The kits works fine, but it's not super responsive like the v-drums I've played. It's good enough to get ideas from your head to the computer or to practice, but I wouldn't take it to a live gig or do any serious recording with it. I lay down basic stuff, then edit the midi by hand to fill in anything I missed or the drum kit missed.

    LOL! They aren't as quiet as you'd think. I edited out all the real strike sounds except the first time I tap on the hi-hat cymbal. Def not as loud as acoustic drums, but they aren't quiet, that's for sure. There are some mesh drums that are MUCH quieter, but every electronic cymbal I've ever hit sounds like these do. hey guys, does it matter whether there is two-zone or single-zone tom/snare pads when using this kit with software like this or any other VST software? Doesn't it rewrite signals from MIDI out on its own?

  • @GregsGarage

    @GregsGarage

    8 жыл бұрын

    No. The pad on the kit is 2 zone for the snare. I think that's the only 2 zone input. If you were going to do additional multi-zone pads, you'd need a different wire harness or brain. The software doesn't care about the pads themselves. The midi brain assigns all the channels and puts the appropriate signal on the right channel. HTH!

    can you add additional cymbal to this kit?

    +Wei liang Liu The cymbals are dual zone. You can break the wiring into 2 inputs and use 2 extra cymbals. You just loose the dual zone. You can also do the same to the snare. I think you can add 3 total pieces this way. It's been a bit since I've looked at the wiring for that stuff.

    Yeah man. I can do a detailed vid. I'll have some time on Saturday. It's pretty simple, but there are a few little details that can hold you up if you don't know them.

    oh thank you so much! last night I've been searching for more that 5 hours for a tutorial on how to use the program to your drum step by step and how to sync. Most of them just showed the interface and tested the sound. I would really really appreciate if you make one sir. I will share the video tutorial to other people who has the same problem. :)

    I paid $40 dlls for this drum set: my friend bought it for his daughter but she lost interest and they had it in their garage for a while, one day I saw it and asked my friend if he'd sell it to me, he just told me to give him $40 dlls. I like the feeling of the pads, the module is shitty but I use it as a MIDI trigger and works great for me, I record my songs with it

    Um baterista mais técnico seria bem mais aproveitada a batera e o teste seria melhor.
