If the electrical installer follow the EV electrical requirement such as using correct fuse + MCB (Overcurrent/short circuit), Type-B RCCB (Detect both AC and DC residual current), chances of caught fire is low. Too bad that Malaysia doens't have a set of law for installing EV charger at home.

Yes, my house installation follows the specs for electrical EVSE during installation. But the main problem is not the EVSE, but the Lithium-Ion battery itself.

Please may not be weather proof. Even it states this charging box is weather proof, just like any other solar inverter boxes with electronics component, the max it can last in general is 5 years. Again Before this charging box fails it will cause damage to any devices it charges.

I plan to install outside but will install the EVSE in small space in the wall like inside a "letter box"
