Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn - A World Split Apart | Catholic Culture Audiobooks

"But the fight for our planet, physical and spiritual, a fight of cosmic proportions, is not a vague matter of the future; it has already started." Russian novelist Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn gave this prophetic commencement address at Harvard University on June 8, 1978. Solzhenitsyn’s observations remain strikingly relevant-perhaps even more so than when they were first delivered.

One of the most important and prophetic speeches of my lifetime. The elites reactions of shock and dismay, while amusing, foretold how the West would not heed his warnings. A great man. Thanks for posting it.

They will listen, hopefully with mercy. Intersectional theory is a great step forward. imo

I spent a while looking for this and for some reason I thought it was titled ''A warning to The West''. No wonder I couldn't find it. Thankyou for sharing the words of this humble genius and I hope the those in power will listen to the words spoken. ''Live not by lies''

Depends on your truth. I see Donald Trump as the new tyrant, hopefully I'm wrong. Is it the beginning of the end? That's just one issue. Society is complex. If I were born in Germany after the first world war, ect... Or if I lived in Palestine? We should all look at the full circle before deciding who we are?

This great and truly courageous man was lauded as a hero by the west when he exposed the evils of the Soviet Union , but those same people shunned and derided him when he then pointed out the huge moral vacuum and decay in the west . Truly , a very insightful man .

But ultimately, he's been proved wrong. America is more powerful and prosperous than it ever has been, despite what the sensationalism and clickbait of the mass media and internet would have you believe. Russia is now nothing more than a joke, and America faces no true adversary other than internal bickering. 🤷‍♀
