It's probably because one is coming off of serious injuries at 37, while the other went to 4 majors while getting 2 late year masters and Year end championship. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he calls it quits before Nadal with seemingly no apparent injuries, but just seems dejected.

@@m.a.g.3920 I think he's checked out and stuck between retirement & possibly one more small burst. I think last year was his last big burst as we saw him win just about everything. But he was from my perspective also preparing as if he was embracing it as if he decided that was it. Getting new management, constantly at events like never before in public eye, and wanted to be around a bit longer for that one last fun slope run just to get it in, which is usually when we eat shit regretting no being disciplined or just stopping. I think somewhere early in the year he got mixed feelings and is all over the place about how to end it. All he knows is to be a machine with a single minded purpose. He seems confused on how to tame himself and enjoy the ending while remaining competitive. It's just my arm chair thoughts that he doesn't know how to ease up after full throttle for 20 years and is skidding out. I think Federer learned how to pump the breaks better while Nadal and Novak don't function that way. Nadal is like a broken car that refuses to park, while Novak went from 100mph to slamming on the breaks skidding all over, forgetting he has cruise control or can gently decelerate gently instead of break checking himself. Maybe will see a 3 man retirement with Nadal, Novak, and Murray ending an era together.

These questions are all the same...political?
Novak as a world no.1 be kickedout like that was unacceptable to himself, will he retire soon just like Rafa?
You blew Novak off the court today Alejandro. Pity that jackass egomaniac was - again - not nearly gracious enough to give you all the credit.
Will lose next round

First Chilean that can speak English
