About the show:
The nationwide search for the next superstar kicked off in August as the Idol Bus traveled covering 23 cities across the country. Auditioning was made easier than ever as hopefuls also had the opportunity to submit audition videos online as well as via select social media platforms using an official tag The Next Idol cultivating over 300,000 posts. Also for the first time in “American Idol” history hopefuls had the opportunity to audition through a livestream platform.
Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next singing sensation are music industry forces and superstar judges Luke Bryan Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Host and producer Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the beloved series.

The guitar sound was loud that I couldn't listen their voices clearly. So it was not flawless, not smooth. I am accustomed to listening the original in which the duo voices are always clearly heard no matter the guitar sound is.
Great duet! Love these two! Love these judges, too!

Just so perfect that this has become my favorite version of Mrs. Robinson!

When Kattie asked "Who is Simon", Walker answered it's him and his partner said he played the part of Garfunkel. As far as I know Art Garfunkel always sang the high register, although sometimes with falsetto. Garfunkel's voice is clearly identified in BOTW, Bright Eyes and El Condor Pasa.

Personally I think the volume of the guitar needs to be down a bit…it’s hard to hear them over the backing music

The sound engineer messed up with making the instruments louder than the vocals…
sound check failed them on this one. the music was so loud i could barely hear the singing.

It’s too much of a coincidence that Alejandro ‘s performance is always drowned out by the band, but now I can’t even hear Walker sing in this duet....I think someone is trying to sabotage Alejandro’s performance

Katy is on that positive (it's all fucked up) dishonesty trip. Both artists are way more than doing karaoke shit. It's a ridiculous night!
The audio mix is terrible the vocals are drowned out by the instrumentation. Bummer. This could have been amazing.
It doesn't sound right I like them both..though . the guitars are really loud it sounds weird

I@m sorry but the audio engineers fked em here that bass is so overpowering it just ruins the entire thing. The perfomance from the artists is great but i spent the entire time trying to hear them over the bass
Don't know this song, but it's kinda lame... 😕 All I'm saying is Alejandro and Walker TOGETHER could've sang some thing so amazing together.

Talking about fairness,those three judges are saving their only vote for Alejandro to get to the top regardless of the dude’s inability to sing high note or the fairness of other performers because they are fool by his smirk and conning...You are fool..Americans voters,who has the weakest voice of all and you are still voting for him....You must love his smirk...Hey dude Alejandro,keep smirking all the way to the top....Good luck dude....
