At the end of 2023, Ale updated her Spector bass to a blue model, that she is now seen playing, almost exclusively. With The Warning being a 3-piece band, Ale's bass parts often take the lead of many tracks, which helps to give their music a very full sound. It is not uncommon for her to do intros and outros of the songs, as well as switch from background to lead. She has stated many times that she does prefer to play, using her fingers, however, will sometimes play with a pick, on certain songs, as required by the sound that they are trying to achieve. At only 19 years of age (and barely 19 years, at that), she is one of the most gifted and classiest bassists that I have had to pleasure of listening to and watching. 🙂

You should see MISA from Band Maid. Or Fami from Lovebites, or a lot of others out there. I'm a great fan of the Warning, but Ale is not even close to MISA.

The 2 girls make excellent work as a bass players !!! Congrats both . But I really love the taste. And the skill of Alejandra Villarreal …excellent bass player amazing stage. … and of course The warning one of the best bands I heard in years .. and excellent compositions !!! The Warning all the way !!!

Since when would vittoria do an excellent work? Those who have seen her live, and play the bass, have realized that she often gets notes and tempos wrong but the bass line continues normally...

Ale tutta la vita! Ascolto le Warning da un annetto e sono tanta tanta roba! A chi non le conosce consiglio di seguirle soprattutto live perché sono davvero brave seppur giovanissime Ale suona un 5 corde e alterna dita e plettro anche nello stesso pezzo quando aveva 16 anni la Spector l'ha messa sotto contratto in esclusiva le 3 sorelle suonano da 10 anni e hanno anche una formazione classica a livello di studi per me sono complete e meritano il successo che stanno avendo👏👏👏 11 aprile ai magazzini generali di Milano 😉

Si, fanno bei pezzi, orecchiabili, che denotano una discreta dose di fantasia. A volte mi chiedo se sia tutta farina del loro sacco o se qualche team non le agevoli lasciando loro l'ovvia presenza scenica. D'altronde tre sorelle, tutte belle, sicuramente agguerrite e appassionate in ciò che fanno, sono un buon prodotto. Però, anche se fosse così, meritano lo stesso.

Oramai è qualche mese che ho scoperto le The Warning e credo che possano dare inizio ad un nuovo movimento rock. Maneskin ascoltati live nel ormai lontano 2018 e Victoria era solo ed esclusivamente presenza scenica, purtroppo poca sostanza e linee banali. Da quanto si vede nei live, invece, le The Warning sembrano molto più tecniche e "create in laboratorio" per fare bella musica. Ci sono dei video sul web di Alejandra che fa delle linee di basso molto articolate e con un bel groove assolutamente degne dei migliori bassisti del genere. C'è un video in cui cambia tra dita e plettro qualcosa come 5/6 volte in una canzone tenendo il plettro nel palmo della mano, degna dei migliori prestigiatori 😅. Oltre alla buona tecnica delle tre sorelle sono anche molto presenti sul palco e questo non può che essere a loro favore. Spero che arrivino presto ad un grande successo planetario. Per info, faranno un tour europeo e se non sbaglio l'11 Aprile arriveranno in Italia a Milano. Vi segnalo i Dionysian, una band hard rock della mia città, Torino, vincitori di Sanremo rock 2023 che da poco si sono esibiti fra gli altri al Whisky a GoGo e da Norman Guitars 🤘🏻

Grazie! I enjoyed your video! I like both, both bands play modern rock! I like that women are such an important part of rock music today! Ale is the foundation of The Warning‘s sound. As you say, she does not only play one scheme or pattern, she varies the bass lines. Check out the 2nd verse of Choke, it’s one of her most melodic bass lines, Ale play her bass not only like a part of the rhythm, it’s also a melodic part. She mostly plays with her fingers, but on more and more songs she uses a pick, or sometimes she switches between fingers and pick in one song. They will play a show in Milan in April, I‘ll see them in Cologne… Ciao, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘

Sono bravissime entrambe, ma Alejandra ha di solito uno stile molto più chiaro e pulito, aggressivo anche senza aver bisogno di aggiungere la distorsione. Poi per me le va dato un punto in più perché non sente il bisogno di mostrare le zizze sul palco, ma quello è un altro discorso. Mi piacciono entrambe.

You got a few things wrong. Ale is 19, not 20. Ale RARELY uses a pick. She uses one on maybe 3 songs out of their catalog of over 50. She almost always uses her fingers. Ale was 15 when she got her USA Custom 5-string Spector. Both bands and bass players are very good. However, The Warning does not use over-sexualization on stage to sell themselves. They have incredible class and I would not hesitate to take children to the show.

The Warning? Ho cliccato casualmente sul video di "Money", un anno fa circa, per dire "ok avete la mia attenzione". Poi sono andato su "Evolve" e "Ok vi amo!". Dany, Pau e Ale hanno messo su una band coi fiocchi e si meritano tutto il successo che stanno avendo!

I think both girls are fantastic. I am Mexican and prefer Ale, but Vic is very good too. Let's enjoy these two tremendous girls.

I understand you want to avoid any vulgarity in your comparison and in the comments, but it is hard to ignore the elephant in the room: as good a rock band as Maneskin may be, I think their popularity derives in large part from their sexualized performances, and Victoria often ending up topless during their shows. The Villarreal sisters are beautiful, but don’t need to exploit their sexuality to achieve success.

Regardless of the sexuality aspects of Maneskin, I find them very talented and their music very engaging. Their style is secondary to the music. The Warning happen to be my favorite band right now. I like both bands and their respective styles, but I prefer The Warning for their vocal harmonies, insightful lyrics, and how tight and together the sisters are with their live performances of their special kind of hard rock.

The Warning are my favorite band by far but I also like and enjoy Måneskin. They're a different vibe of rock and have that style some find controversial. DPA have repeatedly said they like Maneskin, that they are cool and would love to work with them in some form in the future. I don't think comparing bands like this make sense when each is their own thing and style so it depends on your taste what you like more.

Grazie per avermela fatta conoscere. Sinceramente preferisco la Villareal per quel poco che ho visto, come genere sono chiaramente un metallaro anche se riconosco un gran talento dei maneskin che non mi dispiacciono soprattutto per la bravura del chitarrista! Brave entrambe ma preferisco la spinta metal 😂

Tutte e tre le sorelle Villareal hanno cominciato piccolissime con il pianoforte e questo dà a loro una forma mentis come musiciste più completa poiché padroneggiano i fondamentali della musica: melodia,ritmo e armonia. Hanno quindi cominciato a specializzarsi nei loro rispettivi strumenti in modo molto efficace e mirato per raggiungere l'obiettivo facendo squadra e avere una compattezza di suono eccezionale (Ale e Pau sono incollate come poche sezioni ritmiche al mondo). Come sound e "botta" devo dire che preferisco The Warning ai Måneskin anche se sono contento del successo che sta avendo la band nostrana e stanno contribuendo a fare appassionare al rock (e Victoria, al basso) le giovanissime generazioni. Quindi grazie anche a loro : rock'n'roll never die! E dall'alto dei miei 58 anni,di vecchio drummer old school, benedico affettuosamente entrambe. P.s.: Vorrei ricordare che la storia della musica pop (in cui farei rientrare un po' tutti i generi popolari compreso il jazz) l'hanno fatta musicisti/e giovanissimi come le protagoniste di cui stiamo parlando,ergo, non mi starei tanto a meravigliare. Nothing to say against Victoria as a musician, but the totally unnecessary over-sexualization, is what bothers me about her. So that gives me pause, because when you are truly talented, there is no need for such antics. On the other hand the Villarreal sisters are complete class.

Buon giorno, Ale è uno spettacolo. Non balla, non fa scena sul palco se no la sua presenza. Le linee ed i suoni sono impegnativi nell’arco di un concerto. Ale la trovo molto più puntata sul suono e sulla qualità. Warning sono uno spettacolo. Ad aprile ci sarò. Empatia musicale a proposito di Spector, partendo da Doug Wimbish …. ritrovare una bimba che costruisce il suo suono con Spector, per me è un totale godimento. Comunque le Warning hanno un cuore d’oro. Li dietro Paulina fa di tutto e di più. Ed è sempre a cannone, non ha cali di tensione. Impressionante con le basi e canta tutto il tempo … na bestia. Dani sta a crescendo …. “La vecia” ogni giorno mette un tassello in più sulla voce e sullo strumento, un caratterino …. ha forza e cattiveria ed è sempre li. Ste ragazze sono uno “spettacolo”. Brave, brave, brave e senza fronzoli. 1000 punti.

Concordo pienamente. Tutte tre sono leoni da palco. Meglio non fare confronti maligni fra le chitarre di Maneskin e loro. Dani fa un compito ad ogni concerto allucinante. Complimenti perché il rock è più vivo che mai con loro. Una delle condizioni per incidere l'ultimo CD era non essere condizionate ha fare musica commerciale.

Un'ottima analisi, entrambe sono molto valide, per gusto personale però preferisco Ale. Le ascolto da quasi 2 anni e il loro sound mi ha rapito come mai nessuna altra band prima. Speriamo di essere in tanti l'11 aprile al concerto e di lasciare una bella sensazione a questa maginifica band!

the Villareal Sisters can not play, dress or express anything their parents won't approve! Maybe one day, they be catchy, and sound fresh if they fire their parents. The positive feedback from theWarning old fans makes them hard for them to realize they need to evolve. Cause they dont sound new. Their progressions sound so odd, by the way, their songs are their first attempts and their parents paid for that music to come out! While Victoria and maneskin had to learn how to perform in the Streets of Rome, just to save enough for their first record! The villa real sisters are Berklee Graduates! so they are not doing anything they werent trained to, yet they seem to be struggling to be recognized by their own generation.

Molto brava Alejandra e tutte molto brave le tre sorelle sotto tutti i punti di vista. Sanno tenere il palco, sanno cantare, sanno suonare e hanno un'energia spaventosa dal vivo. Tra Alejandra e Victoria non c'è paragone, la Villareal è molto più dotata tecnicamente e in più canta anche peraltro il suo basso è anche più incisivo e vario come dinamiche rispetto a Victoria, hanno due impostazioni diverse pur restando più o meno nello stesso ambito musicale. A me ripeto piace più Alejandra come bassista, ho seguito con interesse le sorelle Villareal e la loro evoluzione. Diciamo che musicalmente nei Maneskin emergono molto di più il chitarrista e il batterista le The Warning invece sono tutte e tre più o meno sullo stesso piano musicalmente un pizzico di più esposta la sorella maggiore che canta e suona la chitarra ma Paula la batterista ha un tiro spaventoso e fa pure i cori. Brave veramente senza nulla togliere ai Maneskin che comunque dal vivo spaccano veramente.

Paulina is the composer of most of The Warning's songs, and she sings first voice on many of them. Heck, even Alejandra sings once in a while.

Maneskin is about show, The Warning is about music.

Altra cosa: andatevi a vedere le intro col piano che Ale fa in alcune canzoni... ultimamente le fa lei, fino a qualche tempo fa le faceva Dani. Tutte e tre cantano mentre suonano e suonare la chitarra solista cantandoci sopra non é facile, stessa cosa per batteria e basso... Tutte e tre hanno una formazione classica col pianoforte e poi con i loro strumenti personali quindi possiamo definirle tutte e tre polistrumentiste...

D'accordissimo con te, sanno suonare, hanno canzoni stupende e tengono il palco alla grande il tutto senza comportarsi da finti ribelli e senza mostrare tette, culi e cosce. In realtà non ho capito perché sia stato fatto questo inutile confronto, in ogni caso, grandissime The Warning.

@@giamma707 esatto. Ed é per questo motivo che le ritengo la miglior rock band. Infatti, il mio gruppo preferito é sempre stato MOTORHEAD perche non avevano bisogno di luci, abbigliamenti , trucco o capelli cotonati per fare música, eran semplicemente grandi.

I'm sorry, but my Italian is garbage. I really like that you took this comparison to a direct scene that shows them doing the exact same thing for their individual bands. Both awesome. Both technical. Both Rockstars! I don't like saying " one is better than the other" because they are two different bands and they both serve their bands wonderfully. 💯🤟😐

It is just sad that a talented bassist feels she has to hump her bass while on her knees to get recognition. The Warning is trying to change that and Ale is a huge part of it.@@TheDancingWuliMasters

Although possessing the skill to play all kinds of styles, Ale often constrains herself to making her part in each song work for the song. They all do that. All three are very much capable of doing just about anything.

When she first started to 'learn' bass, her taste was toward jazz. If you can play jazz, you can play anything, so when the girls decided to play together, it was easy for her to fit right in to the R&R genre, which she already loved.

I loved your presentation. Thank KZread for subtitles. Edit: I first heard The Warning when they performed "More" and "Evolve" at the Video Music Awards in late 2023. I was blown away and started down the rabbit hole. There is so much to like about them.

I just thank God that both groups exist at this time in age, they are filling a gap existing in rock for years. Both bassists are awesome

Respeto a todos los músicos, pero Ale de @thewarningbandrock en mi opinión, TIENE TODO. Maestría con su instrumento, porte, elegancia, tiene todo. Y en conjunto Pau , Dany y Ale, conforman la mejor banda del hardrock actualmente. Fantástico que llevan 10 años como Banda , y que estar presentes a lo largo de estos años, viendo cómo van ascendiendo en el medio musical a nivel mundial, es increíble. He estado presente en 3 Conciertos de ellas, y son conciertos inolvidables, los mejores. Viva The Warning.

I live in the Caribbean, very distant from Mexico. Both girls have their own styles and should be appreciated. However, when i first heard The Warning, i was overwhelmed. They came on the scene and resuscited the rock music i grew up in the '80s and '90s. I love them. Ale grew up infront my eyes figuratively. Fabulous immensity❤. I visited Italy recently. Love the place, sidewalk restaurants, cobblestones. OMG, be blessed. I must learn to ride a motorbike

Ohh finalmente, vediamo che esistono anche altre band, tra l'altro eccezionali, che non sono i soliti .... ! Le seguo da qualche anno e non vedo l'ora di vederle in Italia! Però in Italia "conosciamo" solo i soliti ...! Grazie ai soldi delle major che li promuovono dappertutto, facendo credere che esistano solo loro.... Valide entrambi, ma la "nostra" gioca un pò troppo a fare la "sensuale" sul palco, cosa di cui non ha bisogno la Ale. Grandi The Warning!!!!

Per la precisione, al tempo della cover di Enter Sandman, Alejandra aveva nove anni. Ho già avuto il privilegio di vedere queste ragazze suonare dal vivo tre volte e, da boomer quale sono pure io, non ricordo di essermi entusiasmato tanto a dei concerti da almeno trent'anni. Finalmente arriveranno anche in Italia e chi non dovesse essere presente, dovrà mangiarsi le mani. Riguardo al discorso plettro/dita Alejandra suona con le dita. Usa il plettro molto raramente, ad esempio in Animosity e, (ma qui potrei sbagliare), in alcuni passaggi di Error. La grande differenza con Vic è che le sorelle sono solo tre, quindi il basso qui ha ben più della semplice funzione ritmica. E' una sorta di tappeto musicale continuo, che regge l'intera struttura del pezzo più ancora di quanto non faccia Paulina alla batteria, anche grazie all'uso del basso a cinque corde (Spector Special Ale Inferno). Questo senza far confronti tecnici tra Ale e Victoria, visto che non ho le competenze per farne.

Non conosco la bassista messicana ma dal video mi sembra tecnicamente preparata e con un bel groove ed un suono evoluto e moderno. Victoria è tecnicamente più modesta ma secondo me sempre ha sempre bel suono e un grande groove

Da syntesista e da pochi anni chitarrista devo dire che sono veramente incredibili entrambe le ragazze, sia musicalmente che nell’impatto visivo. La cosa che mi piace di più di Vic è il farsi trasportare dalla musica e sembra che ci fa quasi l’amore con i pezzi dei Maneskin…ovviamente tutto bellissimo 😍🎸💥🎶

Some people drool over Ale, some over Victoria. Here in Canada, we have a saying, "when the rubber hits the road". When live performance has to be good, no matter how they look, both bass players do great things for their bands. Thank you for your thoughtful video.

I have all the vinyl records from both bands. I live in Arizona which is very close to Mexico and have relatives in Monterrey. I bought the earlier The Warning albums before I started listening to Maneskin. I first saw their Enter Sandman video on KZread and have followed them since. Ale was actually only 9 years old and Dany the oldest was only 14 years old when they made that video. I really like The Warning and have seen them three times in concert. They are a great band live. I have not seen Maneskin live, yet, but I have heard from other fans that they also put on a good show. I would like to see them live someday. The bands are different. Vittoria and Alejandra are different, but I like them both. And I do enjoy listening to all my records from both bands.

Entrambi i bassisti sono molto bravi nei loro stili, che personalmente ritengo diversi, i riff di basso di Alejandra sono più tecnici e tendono ad uno stile rock più duro, suonano anche un po' metal, mentre i riff di Victoria, suonano più rilassati e con un tono più funky stile, entrambi fanno un buon lavoro nelle loro band, anche se Alejandra deve portare più lavoro, perché poiché c'è solo una chitarra, deve coprire il lavoro di chitarra di supporto, a volte anche come chitarra solista, anche in rare occasioni se le sue sorelle hanno problemi, suonare la voce solista.

veramente anche nei Maneskin c'è una sola chitarra, sono in 4 ma gli strumenti sono 3. Ed è anche per questo che Victoria usa un basso molto distorto.

It's one deep rabbithole, they've been around for 10 years as a band and yet they're only 19-24 years old.

They are totally different and great both of them. Måneskin undoubtedly is the more recognized band snd today the best show band in the world. The Warning is good in their genre. Nothing to compare one to the other. Both are perfect

Y si profundizamos más en quienes son como músicos, Ale es multi instrumentista al tocar bajo, piano, hacer coros y cantar algunas canciones (aunque prefiere no hacerlo). Dejando a un lado la evidente belleza física de ambas chicas y solo juzgando su habilidad como bajistas, lo siento amigos, pero Alejandra se la lleva por lejos.

Éstoy de acuerdo a nivel musical, Ale esta otro nível, la versatilidad de ella es increíble, es como una sting, tira solo de bajos mientras le está armonizando a su hermana, lo cual es muy difícil incluso para bajista ultra pro, cuando Dani está enferma, ella la reemplaza en el canto.

Da musicista cresciuto con i Led Zepellin e Woodstock, e conoscendo bene la musica dei Manneskin da poco ho scoperto The Warning. Tutta un altra dimensione. Dal punto di vista performance imagine sul palco devo dire con sincerità che apprezzo molto di più la Villareal perché molto più elegante sul palco e assai più brava e preparata, come anche Pau e Dani avendo frequentato la Berklee di Boston.Meno commerciali e molta più sostanza.

the warning fanno un hard rock banale, sul panorama musicale rock sono di molto inferiori ai Maneskin o ad altri gruppi rock. Le Thunderpussy come gruppo rock femminile sono nettamente superiori alle stesse.

@@miguelfernandez1362 è una tua opinione che non condivido, la bassista delle The Warning è allo stesso livello di Victoria e se anche fosse migliore da sola, non rende la band superiore come performance, ai Maneskin che sanno spaziare anche in generi diversi dal solito hard rock, passando anche al pop, rap e funky. Che la musica di un gruppo possa piacere o meno rispetto ad un altro è solo una questione di gusti personali.

@@VUTUCC non mi riferivo alla bassista sennò alla chitarrista Dani. Fa la cantante e arrangiatrice testi e musica. In concerto cambia presets pedaliera mentre esegue riffs è canta contemporaneamente. Compito non facile, se lo sai, quando sei lead singer. Non a caso e sponsor della PRS.

Le The Warning possono essere singolarmente più musicalmente preparate dei Maneskin ma dal punto di vista scenico, di impatto sul pubblico e canzoni a me non mi dicono niente. L'alchimia dei singoli componenti del gruppo, li eleva anche se tecnicamente non sono delle cime in termini di competenza musicale.Ci sono una miriade dii gruppi rock, là fuori che sovrastano le due band tecnicamente, Ti potrei citare i Greta Van fleet, the thunder pussy, Idles , Viagra Boys, ma non avrebbe nessun senso
