Why is there even a question about that. Just pointing a gun at another person is gross negligence. I do believe that so many safety procedures were bypassed but the most important one was Baldwin did not check the firearm before pointing it at another person. Whether or not his memory went defective about pulling the trigger is immaterial. If I am handed a gun, I assume that it could be loaded. I always check. I don care what I am told. Shooting someone is an act that cannot be undone.

Your first impression was correct, and then you let your brain get twisted around by fancy words, legalise, and bad legal logic and arguments. Any lawyer or politician can make 💩 sound good if they use enough words and fancy words. A discerning and discriminating mind can see through their nonsense. Like the founders said, beware power. Men and women are not angels and do at times misuse their positions for their own advancements and interests. The person whose job it was is responsible. While on set and in the role of actor, they depend on others to do their job so that they can safely do theirs. This is all incredibly st-pid. The DA and prosecutors and their political cheerleaders and defenders here are WRONG. Replace them all

Because actors have done that exact same thing in movies from the beginning of movie history. There are inumerable scenes in movies where a gun is pointed at another actor and the trigger is pulled. That why the armorers are there to make sure everything is safe. Go watch any movie with gun action and you’ll see this exact same thing. The issue in this case will be whether or not it is the industry standard for the ACTOR , after a prop gun has been handed to him and announced as being a “cold gun “ , then clears the gun for themselves before beginning the scene or rehearsing firing the gun. Have you ever been to universal studios western shows ? I been right there front row where the western show actor are pointing real firearms with blanks at each other and firing away.

You have an expert whose sole job it is to make sure that gun was safe when handing it over, that’s their entire job, and they handed it over saying it was safe. It wasn’t. Movie sets have armourers because the actors aren’t experts. Not all actors are Americans and some have never seen a gun in real life, let alone handled one. I’m not American. I’ve never seen or held a gun. Imagine a new soldier training to handle grenades, being handed a dummy grenade to practice pulling the pin and throwing, then blaming them when it blows up because they trusted the expert.

doesnt matter if it wasnt his fault that the live round ended up there, the instructions are clear: if you are handling a prop gun never point to anyone and you yourself should do a safety check.

Wrong and logically nonsense. I dont think Alec Bladwin is a very likable guy, but I also think this case is nonsense, should have never been brought and the DA and prosecutors should be removed from their jobs for pursuing such nonsense. It was the job of the person whose job it was to ensure the safety of forearms on set to ensure safety and check all those things.

@@RAM-ShuI don't think you read the complaint by the prosecution team.... yes, it's her job to do everything by the book ... But even she has a boss, she can be removed or fired... The prosecution is claiming that Alec Baldwin had more authority and inactive himself in the movie production beyond his titled role.... if that's the case ... He is in big trouble because he's going to have a hard time proving he is only following orders based on the direction of his film crew when he is on video DIRECTING everyone when to shot, where the camera needs to be, telling everyone to be quick because he doesn't want to lose light... That doesn't sound like a person who is only flowing orders, but more like having control on set ... and if he's in control on set like they are claiming... Then it's pretty negligence not to know when his armorer is not doing her job properly after 30 years in the business and let's not forget the more than 10 crew members who quit weeks before the incident and wrote a letter to the studio complaining about the gun safety warning on set...

@@grazingrhyno5620 I really don't care what the prosecution says if what they are saying is a bunch of stupid. They can make whatever claim they want and take it to court. It doesn't mean they are claiming is right or what they are doing with the power of the office is right. Again, Alec is incredibly unlikable. However, this case and court pony dance is absurd. These prosecutors and the DA need to be removed and replaced in elections for being idiots and wasting resources and money.
