Aldi is a Swedish/German grocery store, so many things they have are imported from Sweden and Germany. They also do things in a Swedish/German way. You can easily tell what brands are Aldi brands just by looking on the back of the packaging, just like Walmart. Aldi charges a quarter for a basket so that you will bring it back. By doing this, they don't have to hire people get baskets from the parking lot. This is one way they keep prices low. Most grocery stores in Europe also do this, but they charge more per cart. They don't give away free sacks. You either have to bring your own bags, buy their expensive bags, or pull an empty box off the shelf. Aldi is one of few stores that actually encourages you to take empty boxes so they don't have to break them down and recycle them or throw them away. These are 2 more ways Aldi keeps prices low. Aldi was founded on the principle of making customers do a little more work so they can save more money.

iIt is not Swedish, just German - found in Essen/Germany by the Albrecht brothers. ALDI = ALbrecht DIskont

Finally some relatable people! I am so tired of searching for grocery hauls and finding nothing but pork eating folks lol. People look at me crazy 🤪 when I tell them I don't eat shellfish or pork and I barely eat beef and chicken anymore 😂 I definitely try to keep the dietary laws but I'm also starting to turn away from eating salmon and stuff too because the world is corrupt and now they tend to feed the salmon things like chicken poop and chicken fat.....and shrimp ..... And that's why the fish has parasites nowadays....I love my salmon but man.....things in the world is way messed up 😂 gotta start growing our own food....and growing it indoors because they pollute the skies 😂 APTTMH YAHUAH FOR ALLOWINGME TO FIND YOUR CHANNEL ❤ YOU have a beautiful family. Shalom aleichem. MAY YAH BLESS YOU IN ABUNDANCE 🌿

it is ALDI not ALDI's! ALDI is a German brand, shared by two companies (because two brothers had a dispute and split their company in 2: ALDI Sued/South and ALDI Nord/North. in the US all ALDIs are driven by Aldi South - while Trader's Joes is owned by ALDI Nord, but has another concept). Anyway, it is irrelevant what brands you are used to, because the quality of the products of ALDI is quite similar/good - just cheaper. You get your quarter back after you brought your cart back. This is no 'entry fee' (obviously). ALDI is cheaper, BECAUSE it keeps all thing simple to save a lot of costs.
