I appreciate the customer response. Not only was he excited but he demonstrated that your customers are not randomly making the decision to have you do work for them, they are thoughtfully choosing an artisan to produce exquisite end products. People that hate on your videos and disrespect your customers with negative comments need to find something to be passionate about.

The stacked heal really catches the eye. The combination of modifications really changes the shoe from formal to dressy casual. I see why the customer wanted the changes. Alden should take some notes.
The jerk needle thing you have we had one at home my dad used it to repair our shoes as kids we couldn’t afford new my dad used to repair all our shoes but he used to call it a hook eye needle cos it hooked the string and made the eye hole for the string to go through I’m 66 from swanage England love ur vids by the way keep them coming mate
Steve, Imma be completely honest with you -- your videos are one of only a handful of things that relax me after long days of dealing with my engineering studies. You may feel that it's repetitious, but each shoe you do is slightly different in its own way in my eyes and the way approach each repair has a level of detail that I aspire to in my own work. So thank you for uploading everything that you do. And your editing quirks are just another thing that makes your videos endearing -- I don't have to hear intro music, ad space, or over the top commentary -- just a chill time fixing some shoes, boots, jackets, or bags.

Watching and 👍 listening to you is my therapy, let's continue 🤣. More loafers. Please! ❤️
Even though you "resole" shoes, you add enough variations alone the way, like resoling new shoes, that we learn something new each time (new shoes come apart easily and cleanly). And the truth is I like listening to you and your outlook on life while you do your craft. My dad always said to do the best you can each and every time and you do that, knowing that not everything is perfect, but you try each time to achieve perfection. You inspire met to be better in my leather work, and I love your sense of humor, thank you!
There are few true craftsmen left in the world. You, sir, are a true craftsman.
“Let’s see who we can trigger today” had me chuckling aloud 😅😅😅
The shoes turned out awesome! And the customer seemed very happy and appreciative! 👍🙂
Great work!! Who are the 128 NOBS who do not appreciate a master craftsman!?? cheers from Madrid
"You can only hammer a purse so hard you don't want to kill it" Add that to the list of sentences that have never been spoke before
Damn straight brother. Why give any time to negative people, let them live their sad lives and we will keep enjoying ours.
Every business needs great customers like this. So appreciative. A good reason to get up early every morning and go to work whatever your trade.
Excellent upgrade. My favorite heavy metal channel on KZread is Heavy Metal Maniacs. There are so many great bands from the late 70s -80s I've never heard of ripped off of original vinyl and EP.
Well always love the customers telling Steve ,smile on the face ,thx for project and your time ,👍👍👍see you next time
Your patience and attention to detail are second-to-none. I'm happy that someone else commissioned your expertise, because I'm certain I couldn't afford to. Great job as usual‼️😁
I always appreciate it when people customize something to make it their own. Lets continue people....
Don’t change what you do you inspire me so much
Of course it is a word and you used it correctly. Hoarse means your voice is rough or gravelly. Horse is an animal for a cowboy or girl to ride, and it provides us with horsehide leather. Please do not doubt yourself, you know a lot of things not just beautiful leather work and repair. However, your humility is one of the nicest things about you. I do not watch to see shoes fixed. I watch to see a highly skilled craftsman work hard at a complicated trade to make his customers happy and do it with a smile., Thank you for sharing part of your world with us. I work in a different trade, but when I have a bad day watching you really helps.

HI, STEVE!! I love listening to the birds up here on my mountain in Kentucky, so beautiful, all the variety of birds, and lots of Cardinals! We have a lot of fireflies and ladybugs, too! I love it up here. Those shoes were ok to begin with, but now, they're hot blooded and bulletproof!
Love the way you work and your unique personality. Lets continue
Bless you son, after 43 years of working with and beating up my hands please take good care of yours. Your strength, which is obvious, can be a detriment.
These shoes were “nice” from the factory, they are now exquisite. Great job Steve!
Another Steve Bedo’s masterpiece! All the more satisfying to produce work for nice customers such as this who are appreciative of the effort and attention to detail that went into the job. A great experience for him which he will treasure and remember each time he wears them. 👍
Another Project By The Master 😮😮😮😀 Wow Those Longwings Are Incredible And Your Custom Accents Steve are Awesome 😮😮😮😀😊

LOL, a jerk with a needle! Too funny. I love your old school approach - do it right, do it once, make it last. This job is like ripping carpet out of a brand new house and putting down wood floors. Max enjoyment from the beginning.

You took the 'Holy Grail' of shoes and kicked it up a notch!! Excellent work Steve, always top notch!
Nice, relaxing and calming to watch. Always a pleasure to watch a craftsman so comfortable in his work.
Hope more people can wear such comfortable shoes, thank you for your video
You are a true master of your craft. It’s a pleasure watching your videos 👍
I don't know how I ever stumbled on your channel but am so glad I did! There is something strangely therapeutic about watching these transformations. Love watching a true craftsman enjoy his work! Always enjoy your videos...let's continue!🙂
I agree the shoes look 100% better than factory. Once again beautiful work Steve! 👍
Awesome - you made a great looking shoe look so much better. The customer explained the look he wanted and you delivered. The sole edges actually look like fine wood. You are a cobbler and an artist.
Stunning work, sir, and I can't believe your customer was able to find Ravello LWBs as recently as 2021! Cigar, Whiskey, and Ravello LWBs truly are rare and precious things. The addition of the eyelets is inspired--I don't know why the LWBs and PTBs aren't made with them by default, whether brass or otherwise. You do wonderful work and I'm so glad I came upon your channel.
Bro repetition is good. I enjoy your stories and you are so inspirational. I never thought I'd be watching some dude on YT restore shoes for hours😂
Great job Steve. God bless you and your family.
Don't cut yourself short Steve. You do a very good job with the camera giving us good views of what your are doing along with an explanation. Keep up the good work!!
Those are gorgeous! I loved the bird song in the morning. Thank you for another awesome video!
Beautiful work as always. Your videos are one of the best when I need to sit up and chill out and educational at the same time
Steve, please do not change how you edit your videos. The way they are done is great. They are authentic and we (the viewers) get to enjoy your stories, your jokes, the birds singing and of course your amazing talent. Try not to focus on the negative comments, you have so many viewers who love what you do.
Wow! You knocked this one out of the park.
Ealdwine means "old friend" in Old English as spoken by the Anglo-Saxons before the Norman invasion in 1066. Which gives some idea about how much English has changed over the past 1000 years.
Thank you for just being you. Your videos are never boring I'm always watching and waiting for your humor to pop out.

What a fantastic makeover. It looks better than when it came it. Well done sir.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh damn. i have a pair of suede alden longwings that i wanted for over 7 years and now i haved had them for almost two years and i can say that i am blown away at the quality of these shoes. Now with that being said it was around 700ish price point but well worth it. NO creases in the vamps in almost two years all i do is keep them brushed and use a coat of protectant. and shoe trees. I will definitely be getting a pair of cordovan next but getting ravello is like getting a new lambo for my feet! This work on the shoe is incredible and sooooooooooooo clean. i just maybe giving you a call when i get mine to have this done!
Excellent worker. I believe this chap is by far the most skilled of all of the people loading to KZread. There is an extra layer of engineering that Steve puts into the shoes that makes them totally pop. Completing the shoes is amazing, but filming editing and loading is a job in itself. Thank you for the clear and concise filming showing every step so precisely.
I always am impressed with your work, but these are absolutely incredible. The slow pan shot of the finished product made me sit up and take notice.
We love that you are just you. Anything else would not be authentic. 👠
Steve i love your videos and all the things you talk about and you make some freaking cool shoes too.
Great looking shoes. Your customer has good taste, and you did a fantastic job!!!!
You had me at slam dancing and mosh pits. 🥰💙🥰🤟 You made a great pair of shoes, a MASTERPIECE. You are a true craftsman. I was a very very highly regarded welder by trade. I love stuff like this.
This shoes now looks a thousand times better than a new one. Amazing craftsmanship. You rock steve. Greetings from India. 🙏
They contrast came out beautifully with the differences in color
They were a good looking shoe to start with, but really handsome by the time they were finished. Nicely done, young man. 🇬🇧
Wow Steve, I never thought you would be asked to do a rehash of brand new shoes....but....the customer gets what the customer wants. So on that point bud, well done for an excellent job. I have to agree that your customer was correct in that the shoes look better after your work. Oh, yes there is such a word as hoarse. I use it all the time. Congrats on the project. Shine on

killer job! They looked great to begin with, but the upgrade is even better.
HOLY MOLY..I don’t own anything quality for footwear, always grew up going to good will and I got lucky once with a pair of doc martens that were just a size smaller and I wore them for over 3 years I loved them.
One of your best videos. The natural welt really makes the shoes pop.
It looked more casual but more premium. Great job!
Let's see who we can trigger today. 😄😄 Singing? You mean head banging along the way. Beautiful work. 👍👍
A few weeks ago I wrote Alden a very respectful email asking about their use of fiberboard in the heals and midsoles. No response to date. Until Alden fixes these problems, I am done with them. However, I still love Steve’s videos remaking them the right way.

More profit for Alden by charging $ 600 dollars for inferior materials used to make their shoes.
Those shoes look GREAT!!!!! They would go well with a nice pair of straight legged jeans.
Beautiful Shoes!!!!!!!!!!! Incredible job Steve!
Repetition is what I love. The problem is that I’m almost thinking I could rip a shoe apart and put it back together again…..NOT! 😄 You could get just as many viewers if you were to do a “live broadcast” first thing in the morning as most of your followers are probably up at that time too. Keep it up Steve, you do great work and we appreciate you just as much as you appreciate us. 👍🇨🇦
You took two pieces of canvas and made them into masterpieces. Excellent job on your part. It looks as if Alden is cutting corners needlessly by being penny wise and pound foolish. Fiberboard and questionable eyelet construction are the types of things that lower a brand name.

Agreed on Alden mixed quality. I have $600 Aldens, and the lace hooks suck, or at least how they are installed sucks. Within a few months the top two on both shoes were noticeably out of place, and now they look like they’ll fall out any day. And these are only weekend shoes. They would have been ripped out already if I wore them daily. Other than that, and the fiberboard, and the tongues immediately falling to the side of the shoes (which I since stitched in place, but shouldn’t have to!), I do love them.
It went from nice to stagering... I dream about ravello even more now !

Oh Steve. We don`t know each other. I am a 50 year old guy from Germany but I really love your channel. But why? It is not only the craftmanship, which is always great. But the most important thing is your general approach, your humor and personality. People like you, they have an impact in the world, at least for me. Bringing some fun and light into days. Loving to hear the birds singing and how you care about the things you work on. No professional editing needed. The way it is is perfect in every aspect. Thank you for your videos and your personality.
I have to say, I love when you do story time or just talking during the welting process. Very soothing! Keep up the good work.

Steve, You are an artist, what a beautiful job
Fantastic upscale job....shoes are superb beyond the manufacturer concept and makes me want to get a pair. I did manage to have a pair of Florsheim long wings redrafted locally with bras eyelets and Vibram non slip soles and heels. They also turned out casual and contemporary. Of course the idea came FM a previous video. You make me rock for a 78 yr old retired Anglic Priest and former military chaplain..Padre to the Canadian Airborne Regiment. Still trying to keep a positive outlook with a younger persona. Thanks Steve for your videos!
