The smaller school in Green has a more superior music program...clearly heard ...and this makes their programming more appealing to parents ...and constituents...I believe they will go far...hype and popular music is fun...but a more properly trained musician is more valued...

@@michellehood3345 they sound good for being a first year program but they have some catching up to do. They’re not too mature on their instruments yet but I like how they jumped in the battle. It lets them see where they are compared to other collegiate bands

Wilberforce came all the way from Ohio ….correct me if I’m wrong they sound good but of course college bands don’t start elementary they are all experienced high school students I assume that had to audition . 1st year program at Mardi Gras says a lot about this program

I’ll be the first to say it. As someone who was there as it was happening, these guys are Crazy. I wasn’t playing nearly that good and my lips still feel like they are about to fall off. They sound amazing.

Who woulda thought that I would make it onto this channel as a random kid on a brick wall filming a band for a few frames other than as a kid hanging off of someone else’s back spinning my trumpet upside down. That makes sense

I could only understand one musical piece...and that was the school in Green I think it was Wilberforce...they were small but CLEARLY A SUPERIOR MUSIC PROGRAM at this school...I mean all the hype stuff has its place ..BUT ...having the young people in a REAL music program is certainly more appealing to parents and constituents...great job to all the young people...🤗👍

I disagree, for this being their FIRST time @ Mardi Gras, being THE FIRST band @ Wilberforce…EVER, being not as large as the other bands, they did their THING! Most DEFINITELY made a statement! Umm. No they don’t. Neither of these colleges have a “N.O. Influence” 😂 They have their Alabama, Mississippi, and Ohio influence which is where they are all from. N.O. is full of high schools that are inspired by college programs just like any other high band in the country. Those are college programs❤️
