Thanks for the upload brother, I was here in 2013 /loved the old town, not so keen on the new, real nice holiday and great beaches. Also found the Portuguese really friendly.

Preferred it when it was just a small fishing village, but then I’m now just about prehistoric.

Great video kev as usual enjoyed the music albufeira looks very lively which is one of the things I look for in a holiday I like nightlife thanks for the information about over charging for accommodation you could be so easily caught out particularly if you are an inexperienced holiday maker and as you mentioned in your video take your time and carefully read and study the small print before proceeding any further always be on your guard as long as you do you should be fine trust your instincts I've never been to Portugal but am thinking of doing so keep up with your great work and don't forget to keep those excellent videos of yours coming Thank you Kevin greetings from Swansea South Wales UK

It's been along time since i was there, but it was one of the best holidays i ever had, always tell friends to make sure the go their. If you like music and nightlife you can't go wrong, and it's a nice flight down to Faro..

The only thing you need to avoid after 7 in Albuferia is that strip you were on. Full of hammered stag and golf outings. Haha

Been there 3 times an planning going bk this September. Love the place. 🎉

Albufeira Old Town is my favourite holiday destination. Beaches, bars, and restaurants are all good.

We’ve not heard catch the wave for a while, I’ve missed it, I wouldn’t want to stay in a hostel with all the snoring including me, it looks a nice place there Kevin

Does fire station in old town still cook lunch for you did years ago

The best thing about Albufeira old town is the live music in the main square. There is The Rock Bar, but 2 or 3 others and they are all good. The beer is more expensive than the less touristy areas, but still cheaper than the UK. I think I pay about €4.50 for a pint of Super Bock. I have been charged extra for a late pick up of a car, and I think it is because they have to pay the staff overtime to stay on beyond the normal hours.

Fantastic. Is Algarve, Portugal

It is a shame they changed the square as it used to have more character , it was raised in the centre so I suppose in one way it is safer for children and older people . It was dug up because they enlarged the drainage pipes because as climate has increased rain (not often) the drains could not handle the amount and rubbish bins floated down to the sea. There is so much to see in the square and surrounding streets though . Your videos are very good by the way I watch them all.

Hiya Mate, Feel your videos are very good & Informative. Know the place like the back of my hand, Walk this route every morning for my beach walk, All year round. Keep up the good work son & expose the little cons you find. In General tho I have found over the 20 years we have been involved with Portugal, the cons are very rare if you have ya wits about ya, Moral of the story "dont get off ya face or Gassed up & lose all ya senses. " all the best XXX

Kevin please try and go to praia da oura beach , it is only 10 mins from albufeira , best seafood restaurant in the algarve is on Praia da oura beach , and a mile along.the coast is another tiny beach with a world class but cheap seafood restaurant... please I know you'll enjoy it , its a 5 minute walk down the hill from thee strip...

Hi plenty taxis at airport it's about 35 mins in a taxi , I would pick a hotel in the flat area near square .

Always thought that hostel looked a bit seedy! What's it like sharing a dormitory, do you get drunk guys coming in?

Hi Kevin. Is Albufeira more for the younger crowd or is it suitable for me and my wife. We are mid to late 60s.Looking for somewhere different next year. If its not suitable for our age is there anywhere you can recommend. Usually go to Tha Canary Islands.

I’m mid 50’s and been to Albufeira 25 times. If you want party time it’s there, if you want it quiet, you’ll find that too.

45 years ago, this was a charming little fishing village. Now it’s the Blackpool of the Algarve. Horrible place.

I've been in Albufeira i most say the Prices of the Restaurants there is Insane like you pay fo Mini Normal Pizza nothing special for 18€🥴.. My Hotel was 10min away from old Town

My wife and I are just back from albufeira. We spent two weeks their. And I have to say I have never been to a place where there were so many gangs of older men getting drunk all day . The wife and I are not old fuddy duddies and like live bands but this place was just a racket .I think they were trying to see who could be the loudest and the karaoke place was just round the corner from the square was even worse .

Looking for somewhere to go end of March next year, a group of 8 of us. All in our 50s and enjoy good nightlife and entertainment. Any recommendations which area to stay? Is it easy walk between old and new town? How will it be last week of March? ☺️

Bit of a walk between old and new town , not been at that time but don't think it will be that busy as weather can be hit and miss , weather wise Tenerife better normally at that time. If u want to risk weather Benidorm can't be beat for live music .

We went to Benidorm in March and had non stop rain, freak weather that they had and we were there 😬🤣 We wanted somewhere similar so was looking at Torremolinos, Albufeira or one of the Canaries. We're already going to Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote in April so can't go there 🤷‍♀️😊

I'm very concerned, this place is empty and looks dead. should i cancel my flight?. that sucks

Albufeira is not for budgeting tourism...that tourist has to go more inland, not step in the bars and restaurants, after clearly seeing the prices on the menu and then proceed to make a scene, demanding managers and discounts because yes... or if you are lucky enough just get an attitude filled observation of how high the prices are and blah blah...i eat a 3 course meal for 10€ in Albufeira too...but nowhere near the beach. I'd rather stay home if i can not properly afford to go on holidays and just keep complaining.
