I find it difficult to stop watching and listening to this amazing performer
No rush. No show-off interpretation. Very clear phrasing. Each note valuable by itself. No exaggeration in expressions. Very high-skilled technic. And most of all, a captivating sounding. My respect to your hard work. I really enjoyed this performance. Authentic, musical, impressions. And the Guitar is adding some magnificient sonority. Thanks for posting such work.
Scarlatti specialist! 🎉❤
Perfect ornamentation, close to the harpsichord!

Sei Grande Alberto! 😍
Wow
Great
Complimenti Alberto! È raro ascoltare la musica di Scarlatti suonata così bene sulla chitarra e questo strumento sembra molto bello. Si chiama La Leona perché è ispirata al modello di Torres? Le fasce e il fondo sembrano in acero, giusto?
Can someone clarify for me the name La Leona, a famous guitar by Torres in the 1800's. I had read that there is a special internal construction that gives her the terrific tonalities. Is this 2011 model built in the same manner, giving that distinctive tone?

Colin Caissie : it is. Fritz restored the original.
come al solito per Mesirca pare che i liutai abbiano costruito un clavicembalo, invece è lui che lo crea
Congratulations. This sonata is always misunderstood and misinterpreted by other good performers (on keyboard as well as guitar) but you are the first I've heard who really gets it. Beautiful performance, impressive technique!
Nice playing. But aren't the microphones a bit too close? I thought the sound quality was much better in that recording outdoors of the K 1 sonata.

I agree. His concert version on his own guitar sounds much better. This one is to sharp or loud or something
A beautiful performance, emotional, distinct.... However, Alberto is playing it as a guitar piece, which, of course, it is not. This raises an interesting academic question - should we imitate the style and instrumental expectation of the original (where possible), or should we play a guitar transcript as an authentically guitar piece? For example, this sonata, written for harpsichord, I would have played in a much drier, metallic manner, to imitate the sound of the harpsichord. After all, the guitar is very well suited for playing harpsichord pieces. What do you think?
