ALBERT SCHWEITZER - CALLED TO AFRICA
Dr. Albert Schweitzer is remembered around the world as one of the great humanitarians of the 20th century, a man who won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in healing the sick and injured in Africa. This towering figure - jungle doctor, pastor, philosopher, and celebrated musician - was revered by royalty and the famous of his day. Yet the price of his fame was paid for in part by his wife and daughter, left behind in Europe while he pursued his African dream.
Albert Schweitzer: Called to Africa tells his remarkable story through the eyes of his wife, Helene, a nurse who shared her husband's dream of carving a hospital out of the rugged African jungle. Filmed on location in Strasbourg, France, where the young Schweitzer gave organ recitals and preached, and in Gabon, West Africa, where the hospital he founded continues to treat people today, this inspiring docu-drama brings to life the story of Albert Schweitzer, and is enhanced by real-life interviews with family members, biographers, theologians, and others.

It's sad that so few people know of him
he couldn't have been a better follower of Jesus Christ, he did exactly what Jesus wanted us to do, namely: to see himself in the most in need ones.
Schweitzer rejected the diety and gospel of Jesus Christ period.Real biblical Christianty has a solid set of beliefs and spiritual values that do not change over time. To be a "real christian, you must beleive what Jesus taught and live it out each day as Gods will to the end.
Dr Schweitzer was one of the greatest human beings.... That should be his only identity.....
Excellent. He rejected the dogmas but lived a jesus christ the best possible
What is being a Christian? A real Christian, not just in name only, is one whose sins are truly forgiven, who has repented from sin and who is moving away from a sinful life. It's not just one who does good works. The good works will come as the fruit of salvation, but those works don't save. Schweitzer rejected the authority of the Bible after "some study". Really? How did he know anything about Jesus if his source was suspect?
The proclamation, defense and demonstration of Christ's deity in the service of His kingdom is a characteristic of a Christian.
what a LEGEND
Except that’s not simply how Europeans treated Africans in the colonies. It’s how Africans treated Africans in Africa.
🎉🎉🎉🎉 Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" He said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. ' This is the greatest and first commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Great man for sure, one of a kind.

Beautiful 🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉
Ron Burgundy, signing off!
He admired Jesus, but believed Jesus was mistaken. Its unfortunate, but the most probably historical view is that Jesus existed and preached the imminent coming of the Kingdom of God.
Thank you for your comment :) Truthful comment
