In part three of this three-part interview, Al Boemker recounts his time during the Vietnam War, serving in a tank unit. He discusses the importance of mail and reel-to-reel tapes in getting news from home. He reports on a battle his unit was involved in when a friend was killed. He tells of his father, who was a Marine at Iwo Jima during World War II. He describes being wounded for the third time. He relates traveling to Hawaii to meet with his wife for some R&R (rest and recreation). He discusses his decision to leave Vietnam, his last duty post and his homecoming. He details his post-war career and family.

    I was probably one of those alien pilots landing that night. I was with the 135th AHC based at Blackhorse call sign EMU which stood for Experimental Military Unit. Composed of US Army pilots,crew and support personal and Royal Australian Navy pilots, crew and personal.

    There's thousands of us that if they had it to do all over again we would have done 180 differently but it's lmpossible to change in now one must now depend on the grace of God who is all Mercy we can't change He can forgive all as we forgive all the wayi figger it.

    Yeah,the last of the Bronze seemed to have oxidixed. since the end of Gallantry was it? or Valliantry?Remember that song ,Bungle in the Jungle?End of Korea was about the True Bronze End.Mpc sucked.ok only @px. Could you buyDong with MPC?

    My half brother wrote a "Book" once I tried to read it but it was too sour just a litany or bitch sad to saya guy can be mired in a solid negative attitude without even recognizing it if he is not alert to it's possibility
