Hi everyone. It's nice to hear comments from you regarding my song. Just so you know, every member of Albatross is still doing well, and we all play music in one way or another. We all feel blessed to have been a part of that wonderful scene. Here is a link to my website, in case you are interested in what I'm doing these days. www.jimperrymusic.com

ALBATROSS WAS THE MOST FUN, COOLEST BANDS FROM WORCESTER EVAHH!! Thanks for making me feel 23 again. THOS were some Ca-RRRRAZY years...yet we live to tell the tales. THANK YOU AGAIN.. Great song from a local 45 by Worcester band Albatross. "Passport to Pleasure" was the flipside.

Albatross played at Harwich High School sometime between 1971-1975. I still have this 45.

This is great to see on KZread. I still own a copy of this 45. I had a fake ID in 1976 and would get into The Library nightclub in Smithfield RI to see them. I can still remember many of the great songs they covered as well as their originals such as Sweet Jane (Lou Reed), Suffragette City (Bowie), Do Ya (ELO) and entire sets of Stones songs. I hope they're all doing well these days. They were a big influence during my teen years.

I just stumbled on this! My friend showed me a flyer for a show at the Worc Memorial Auditorium. The line up was T Rex, Rush and Albatross . You guys would play at my school, St John's high (grad '79). I didn't recognize the title of the song but right when the vocals came in I recognized it as a song I've heard many times on the radio through out the decades --- I'm a drummer and remember you guys as one of the top acts at my school dances. ---- I moved away and never heard of you guys again but......(you'll like this) "Passport to Pleasure" and that amazingly catchy guitar lick ran through my head for many days every year up until (still) now! Never forgot it! ---- I just read what I believe to be a recent article. Valvatross at Elm St. Park this Fall? ---- Thanks for the blast from the past Jim! --- Now I gotta look up Duke and the Drivers. They played at my school also, and their song "What you Got" is another long term groove that I always catch myself singing in my head. Gotta love the internet; nothing gets lost. eh? ------Thanks for the memories!
