Albany & Eastern takes great pride in the appearance of their power units, including the gorgeous little GP that handles loads between Albany and Lyons / Mill City! I live in Corvallis, so greatly enjoy the Albany & Eastern trains along with the Portland and Western trains here in the Valley. Great video!

Nice horns and power! RS3K, old cast P5, you can tell these beasts have been on the road for a *very* long time. And I admire the pristine paint, reminds me of the CNW.

Thanks for this! I live in upstate NY and I keep a custom-painted AERC unit on my HO scale layout based on the Pacific Northwest (#1841). It's great to see these old GE units still going strong in 2021! And they all look great with the sharp AERC green and gold paint scheme (based on U of O colors), especially considering they are 30+ years old.

When in yards, speed is 10 mph. Some branchlines have bad track that restrict speeds. The annual tons per mile revenue doesn’t usually allow for the cost of maintaining higher speed track.
