Albanian Food Tour in NYC. The Best Albanian Food

I’m joined by fellow KZreadr Fufski as we eat and learn about Albanian food in New York City. We start off our adventure in Astoria, Queens at the restaurant Djerdan Burek. We eat two kinds of delicious burek pies. Then we head to Manhattan and dine at Çka Ka Qellu, where we try a number of traditional Albanian and Balkan courses such as mantia and skenderbeg.

what a pleasant surprise to have a friday upload!!!! now I will watch! tedit : the pastry at the first place reminds me of pastitskis that are made in Malta. the second restaurant definitely looked interesting. and delicious. brings to mind "boring foods makes a boring mind" and you definitely explore unique flavors and cultures! well done

I like how you introduce every single restaurant separately, including the interior. Wow~ finally Fufski is in the video! I love this video as well, but I personally think your solo video has higher quality haha. Don't get me wrong. I also love this video!

Some of the dishes reminds me of Greek food especially the baked pastry and dips. The Skanderbeg looked very interesting? Great informative video as usual.

Thank you! Yeah, there's a lot of similarities between Albanian and Greek food. The countries share a border so it makes sense.

Amazingly presented! Everything was as authentic as it gets (aside from the pronunciations, but Albanian is known for being hard at first try). Glad you liked the food. It's simple, but very comforting. Future recommendations, if you ever find yourself in "Çka Ka Qëllu" or any other Albanian restaurant, are: Fli (probably the most unique Albanian dish since it can't really be found anywhere else even within the Balkans); Leçenik; Tava Kosi; Sarma; Suxhuk (pairs nicely w/ that bread you were served and some cream as an app) and lastly, Sheqerpare for dessert Keep up the good work!
