The phrase "That's the tea" actually started being used in the 18th and 19th centuries by women who would sit around having tea and gossiping. Al actually very likely learned the phrase from his mother, although Rosie is another good guess, just for the fact that she was also a woman from that time period.

Alastor probably has been listening to different newer radio broadcasts since he's been back along with newspapers that have buzz words so at least a few modern phrases like "that's the tea" he picked up.

I'm assuming Vox ALMOST lost because he didn't win. Alastor saying "He'd be powerless without the other Vs." implies that Alastor was mopping him the fuck up when Valentino and Velvette saved him.

I think the reason Vox is so pissed about Alastor, is because last time they fought Vox was forced to run away, which is why Val says ''you pissed cause he almost beat you last time'' Cause Yes it makes not much sense for Vox to get angry other wise if he beat Alastor last time, so its more likely that Vox were forced to escape during their last battle.

That's wrong though. They said Alastor almost beat Vox. Not that Vox lost. "You still pissed that he almost beat you that time?" That's what was said. Alastor didn't beat him. They're about even.

@RachelsCrazyWorld also possible. That's my point, we simply don't know. Personally, I think it is unlikely Vox was coming out on top. Meaning, he was likely losing or fled before losing... Why? He's arrogant. Why wouldn't Vox have brought that up while trashing Alastor during Stayed Gone??? Also, why does he get so angry when Val brings it up? Seems suspicious if Vox was the one on top.
