Would love to go spend all summer up there, helping etc, but not retired, and have to make a little coin still to live.

No this trip doesn’t but there is 3 gold camps in Alaska and 1 of them “Skookum gold camp” is owned & run by Blake Harmon & Lisa Harmon. The other 2 camps are AKAU in Nome And 40 Mile at chicken. Skookum is my favourite 😜

@@atadventures2336 do you by chance know why over half the GPAA Alaskan claims have zero information about them? I mean they’ll have 2 gps points online and be like it’s 160-2500 acre claim and that’s literally All the data 🤦🏼‍♂️ I’d love to spend $5-10 grand getting out there with gear and spend a month during the summer hitting places but it seems hard enough just to get the info you just gave me.

@@matthewbernard4152 No I don’t sorry, I know there is a GPAA claim up by Skookum gold camp so Central area around 128 miles north east of Fairbanks it has been worked well over the years yet still producing and people do go up and boondock for the summer and seem to hold their way, Like any gold location/ story people hold the cards close to their chest. Seems it’s the same with GPAA claim write ups.

@matthewbernard4152 Because most of the active members of Gpaa in alaska are old, and most of the claims, minus the crescent creek, are difficult to get to. The upper caribou creek for instance requires either the sun, rain, moon, and stars to all be in alignment with 4wheeler; or you need an argo. Lots of swampy areas to cross. A lot of effort, when there are public recreation areas easy to get to. Most of the old timers in the club just like that they get out there, the gold is a bonus for them, not the goal.

Why do you run such high tire pressure on them trucks. Put them at 20 lbs maybe less you'll float on all that stuff.
