The way they spliced in the 101 footage... Emotional. Love this man. The maestro.

I always cried when I see Alan interpreting Black Celebration

Alan really outshined when Black Celebration came out. That's the album where you can clearly see how magical he is. And yes I fuckin miss him in the mode. What a musician they lost.

The massive lump in my throat when it switched over to Alan showing how BC is played. It's a band. He's a man. He had his reasons for leaving, but I truly feel a piece of my soul died when he did.

Alan ! WE MISS YOU SO MUCH !!!

Alan digs out the ol' trusty E-max from the cellar, muscle-memory guides his fingers to the exact keys triggering the correct samples and then plays in perfect time. What a maestro and undoubtedly a really nice guy.

This is probably one of the best AND sadest moments in my music history! Alan was a true genius, a synthesizer magician with fingers like a true legend! He and Martin made DM one of the most legendary bands in the history of music! IF I could have one egoistic wish in life, take him back to the recording booth togheter with the rest! Alan is and will always be one of my heroes- Black Celebration riffs is one of the things that will never die- he created magic mixed with music!

I love seeing pictures, gifs or videos of him when he was young and going "wow he literally still does that all these years later." The same applies now that he's older- sometimes I'll see something and go "WOW he literally made that same movement in the 80s!!" A man after my own heart, always.

Hey man, you're awesome. In my younger days you guys were my number one band, but I'm 50 now, and time to time, I go back to a song I remember here and there. I don't listen to much music anymore, it's rare. I loved your music, and from an old fan, I just want to ask you, has anyone ever told you about Jesus Christ, because this world is going kaput, the Bible says that this earth that we live on, this big marble floating in space now, preserved by God's Word, is reserved for the lake of fire. The Bible says if you confess your sins to God, that He is faithful and just to forgive, and that _"if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart, that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved, for it it is with the heart one believes unto justification, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."_ It's not about keeping the 10 commandments, because without love, you can't keep any of God's commands. If you love your wife, you don't need the law that says do not commit adultery, for the Law was not written for the righteous but for the lawbreakers. In order to escape the slavery of those sins God tells us not to, we must love God more than the sin, or else we will never reach escape velocity. Love is not a feeling, it's sharing God's Word, even when people may not want to hear it. And I just wanted to ask you if anyone has every mentioned the Name of Jesus Christ to you? Jesus is coming soon.

It's impossible to say too much about the genius that Alan brought to Depeche mode. Has not been close to being as good as with him. I would love it so much if they would get back together just the three of them for one last album. The last good album they had was Ultra.
